  1. wicket

    WICKET Dawson (c & b Bresnan) 10published at 11:43 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 v Hants 110-8

Liam Dawson is the third Hampshire man to go this morning as the ball appears to stick a bit in the pitch and he bunts the ball back to Tim Bresnan, who has taken all three today.

  2. Sussex facing daunting totalpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Sussex v Warwks 361-3

Jordan is pushing the ball well outside the off stump and Trott has no need to play.

It looks like the Sussex race is run as far as promotion is concerned.

One from the over, loads of batting to come.

  3. Poynter survives hat-trick ballpublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Leicestershire 321 v Durham 18-5

No hat-trick for Mohammad Abbas as Stuart Poynter survives the hat-trick ball.

He can't be too disheartened though, his figures of 5-17 from six overs putting Leicestershire firmly in command against Durham.

  4. wicket

WICKET Wheater (b Barnard 66)published at 11:38 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Worcestershire 94 v Essex 318-6

A breakthrough at last for Worcestershire.

Ed Barnard gets one to nip back in and beats Adam Wheater, who looks back to see his off stump lying flat on the ground.

  5. Abbas on a hat-trick...published at 11:37 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Leicestershire 321 v Durham 18-5

Mohammad Abbas removes Michael Richardson and Paul Collingwood in successive balls...

  6. wicket

WICKET Alsop (c Lyth b Bresnan) 24published at 11:35 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 v Hants 107-7

Tim Bresnan strikes again as Tom Alsop nudges to Adam Lyth at second slip.

That's his fourth scalp in the innings.

Hampshire are in danger of imploding here - and now Ian Holland will try to stop the rot.

  7. Bears on top at Hovepublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Sussex v Warwks 360-3

Just one slip in place for Chris Jordan at a blustery Hove and the ball spears down the leg side for a bye.

Ben Brown got a hand to it and removes his glove.

Must have stung a bit but he'll soldier on. Trott sees out the over.

  8. Postpublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Worcestershire 94 v Essex 318-5

The run rate is climbing at Chelmsford.

Ravi Bopara and Adam Wheater have scored 47 runs in the past 10 overs, their partnership now worth 117.

Worcestershire have only 24 more overs to earn maximum bowling points before plotting how they can somehow win the game to keep their survival hopes alive.

  9. Division Two round-uppublished at 11:31 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

Here's the latest from Lord's, Bristol and Grace Road...

Middlesex are within touching distance of maximum batting points against Derbyshire and they currently have 398-9.

Earlier this morning Max Holden reached his first championship century of the season with a cover drive for four off Tony Palladino.

Durham have dismissed Leicestershire for 321 but have slipped to 18-2 in reply - with Alex Lees and Gareth Harte both dispatched by Mohammed Abbas.

Northants are struggling on 36-2 away to Gloucestershire but trail by only 89 after dismissing the hosts for 125. Sam Curran (23) is batting with Ricardo Vasconcelos (2) after the early loss of Rob Newton this morning, lbw to Matt Taylor for 8.

  10. wicket

WICKET Kuhn (c Cooke b Smith 9)published at 11:25 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Glamorgan 186 v Kent 132-4

Glamorgan aren't making Kent's promotion push easy today.

Chris Cooke has his second catch of the morning, snaffling Heino Kuhn down the leg side off the bowling of Ruaidhri Smith.

  11. wicket

WICKET Abbott (lbw b Bresnan) 8published at 11:20 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 v Hants 96-6

    Got him!

Tim Bresnan ends 53 balls of resistance from Kyle Abbott, trapping the batsman plumb in front.

Hampshire remain a long way behind and now it's time for Liam Dawson to have a bat.

  12. Bopara dropped on 45published at 11:19 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Worcestershire 94 v Essex 295-5

    That's not what Worcestershire need.

The visitors have to take their chances against Essex to have any chance at all of delaying relegation, but they drop Ravi Bopara on 45.

Ed Barnard was the unfortunate bowler and his mood only worsens when Bopara hits successive fours in his next over to bring up the half-century.

  13. 100 runs

100 for Max Holdenpublished at 11:17 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Middlesex 386-9 v Derbys

Holden drives Palladino through the covers... Four runs!

He's done it! He's had four 50s in the championship before today without going on to three figures, including a near-miss when he made 94 in a thriller against Northants where Middlesex won after following on.

    154 balls and 14 fours.

  14. Patterson presses for wicketspublished at 11:15 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 v Hants 96-5

An appeal for a catch behind from Steven Patterson off Kyle Abbott - did he hit that?

    The umpire's not interested.

Abbott drives Patterson for a single and Alsop sees out the over.

Hampshire are creeping back into this game after a nightmare session before stumps yesterday.

  15. Postpublished at 11:12 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Worcestershire 94 v Essex 283-5

Ravi Bopara is closing on his half-century as Essex continue to make Worcestershire toil.

The former England all-rounder is on 45 from 131 deliveries.

Interestingly, we've yet to see one of the Essex seam bowlers in the first few team of the season entries we've received. Surely Simon Harmer and Jamie Porter are in consideration?

  16. wicket

WICKET Bell (lbw b Briggs) 112published at 11:11 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Sussex v Warwks 332-3

The bowler has a half shout for lbw but it looks like Bell got some bat on that.

Another shout... He's gone! Bell tries to sweep him away and misses.

Fist bowling point for Sussex in a must-win game to get up to the top flight.

A partnership of 230 is broken - and boy did Sussex need that wicket.

Warm round of applause as Bell leaves the field. Sam Hain to bat next.

  18. Hampshire struggle for runspublished at 11:03 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 v Hants 94-5

Kyle Abbott picks up a rare boundary, and his first today, steering Jack Brooks safely down to third man.

Just 15 runs added since we started this morning - but crucially for both sides, no wickets.

  19. wicket

WICKET Podmore (c Cooke b Hogan 2)published at 11:00 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Glamorgan 186 v Kent 109-3

For Harry Podmore, his watch is over.

Kent's nightwatchman did his job to perfection, scoring two runs from 25 balls before being caught behind off the bowling of Michael Hogan.

The hosts still look well placed to earn a decent first-innings lead.

  20. Trott injured?published at 10:59 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Sussex v Warwks 329-2

A near-miss for Jonathan Trott who pushes the ball to mid on and comes within a whisker of being run out by David Wiese going for what turns out to be a single.

There are concerns that his back might be aching a bit but he's batting on.
