    Worcs 340 & 221 v Yorks 428 & 102-2 (Target 134)

Ben Twohig bowls around the wicket...

Jack Leaning hits it straight back to him and that's a tough caught and bowled chance missed.

The bowler drops short and is pulled away for four.

    Not long to go now.

for Dieter Kleinpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Glamorgan 359 & 175 v Leicestershire 132 & 192-9

It may be in a losing cause but that's a fine effort by Dieter Klein, who reaches a 66-ball fifty with a single off Craig Meschede. It's the fifth of the South African's career.

  3. Close call for Jackspublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Surrey 67 & 450-5 v Essex 477-8 dec

A near thing for 19-year-old Will Jacks as Matt Coles fires one between bat and pad but it somehow clears the stumps.

Ryan Patel forces Simon Hamer away square for four in the next over as Surrey reach 450 - but their lead is only 40.

    Durham 310 & 67-4 v Middx 121 & 355 (Target 167)

That's a horrid delivery for any batsman to receive.

Paul Collingwood gets a grubber from Martin Andersson that keeps freakishly low off a length and crashes into the stumps.

Durham's record run-scorer leaves the field for the final time.

A graphic flashes onto a screen with the simple message - "Thank you, Colly".

  5. drinks break

Drinks break at Riversidepublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Durham 310 & 64-3 v Middx 121 & 355

24 overs remaining tonight and I'm not sure who benefits the most out of this drinks break.

There's still no official confirmation about whether or not Ollie Rayner will bowl after substituting for the injured James Harris.

  6. Ballance fights for White Rosepublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Worcs 340 & 221 v Yorks 428 & 75-2 (Target 134)

Gary Ballance cuts Ben Twohig to point for a single to move to 20. Can he see this out?

Leaning sees out the over and there are 22 left before stumps.

Moeen Ali is going to bowl round the wicket...

Shot! Cut behind square by Ballance for four.

Another single for Ballance and Leaning picks up four more off a thick edge down the leg side.

  7. Collingwood's last inningspublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Durham 310 & 57-3 v Middx 121 & 355 (Target 167)

Shot! Paul Collingwood unfurls a sumptuous cover drive off James Fuller for four - and that's another round of applause for the Durham and England stalwart.

110 to win - and it would be a fairy tale ending if Collingwood can see his side through.

  9. Close call for Ballancepublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Worcs 340 & 221 v Yorks 428 & 56-2 (Target 134)

Gary Ballance is perilously close to offering a catch at mid wicket, but the ball lands safely and he gets away with a couple of runs. He scrambles a leg bye off the second ball.

Three slips in now and Jack Leaning blocks.

No rush here. Still 24 overs left tonight.

WICKET Parkinson b Hogan 31published at 16:37 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Glamorgan 359 & 175 v Leicestershire 132 & 174-9

Finally, Glamorgan manage to separate Leicestershire's ninth wicket pair after a stand of 72 in 18 overs.

Callum Parkinson is the man to go, bowled by an inswinging full-length delivery by Michael Hogan, who now has four wickets in the innings.

Dieter Klein is still there on 39 not out - but just one needed now by the home side.

  11. Cheque mates at Edgbastonpublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at Edgbaston

The £221,020 cheque Warwickshire will bank for finishing top of Division Two is some way behind the £532,100 Surrey picked up for winning the Division One crown last week.

But it is only just less than the £256,000 Worcestershire picked up on this same ground for winning the T20 Blast just 11 days ago.

And it is more than double the £103,022 Kent have pocketed for finishing second.

The day’s other financial beneficiary at Edgbaston was Joe Denly.

On top of the windfall from being selected for England’s Test squad for next month’s tour to Sri Lanka, he has won this year’s MVP title - and there was a cheque there for £10,000 waiting for him at close of play.

    *No contactless payments, then?

WICKET Richardson c White b Fuller 3published at 16:29 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Durham 310 & 48-3 v Middx 121 & 355 (Target 167)

Out! Michael Richardson tries to turn James Fuller around the corner, plays down the wrong line and edges to the keeper.

Applause rings around a sunny Riverside as Paul Collingwood prepares to bat for Durham for the last time.

  13. Ballance at the crease for White Rosepublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Worcs 340 & 221 v Yorks 428 & 50-2 (Target 134)

Well, he scored 194 in the first innings and a tiny fraction of that will do for Yorkshire here.

Jack Leaning picks up a single off the second ball of Pennington's seventh over to 50 and Ballance blocks.

WICKET Pope lbw Coles 114published at 16:26 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Surrey 67 & 418-5 v Essex 477-8 dec

    Matt ColesImage source, Rex Features

A crucial wicket for Essex as Matt Coles removes Ollie Pope, testing him out with a short one which forces hurried evasive action before pitching the next one up and having him leg-before.

Remember Coles is bowling as a replacement after Sam Cook was struck on the helmet on day two.

Pope hit a six and 19 fours in his 120-ball knock, but departs just 16 short of 1,000 Championship runs for the summer.

Surrey are just eight runs ahead, with only five wickets left.

  15. wicket

WICKET Harte c White b Andersson 14published at 16:20 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Durham 310 & 45-2 v Middx 121 & 355 (Target 167)

    Martin Andersson strikes!

A loose defensive prod from Gareth Harte and the ball brushes the edge on the way to the keeper.

Michael Richardson joins Cameron Steel in the middle.

  16. Essex clear deficitpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Surrey 67 & 410-4 v Essex 477-8 dec

Parity for Surrey as Will Jacks takes a single at the start of a new over by Essex's Matt Coles.

The scores are level and there are more than 100 overs left in the game.

Could be a few twists and turns yet to come.

    Worcs 340 & 221 v Yorks 428 & 47-2 (Target 134)

Adam Lyth drives straight back to the bowler who pouches it at waist height.

Can the Pears get on a roll from here?

Gary Ballance is at the crease.

  18. England Lions squad namedpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

As Essex pace bowler Jamie Porter toils away at The Oval, there is some good news for him following the announcement of the England Lions squads to play Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates in November and December.

Four-day squad: Bess, Billings, Clarke, Gubbins, Holden, Kohler-Cadmore, Livingstone, C Overton, J Overton, M Parkinson, Porter, Roy, Tongue*, Virdi, Wood.

    *subject to fitness

Limited-overs squad: Bess, Clarke, Davies, Gregory, Gubbins, Hain, Holden, Kohler-Cadmore, Livingstone, Mahmood, C Overton, J Overton, M Parkinson, Porter, Wood.

  19. Durham recovering after Lees wicketpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Durham 310 & 44-1 v Middx 121 & 355 (Target 167)

No confirmation that Ollie Rayner can't bowl in this innings but I guess we'll find out soon enough.

No point in bringing him on with 20 or 30 to win.

Just the one run and a leg bye off Andersson's second over.

A bit of a mishap in the field as Harte strokes Fuller to mid on and Ethan Bamber throws the ball to long on for overthrows. Two runs is the end result.

Alarms are briefly heard at the Riverside ground - not sure where from. Four off the over.
