We have a streaker! It looked like England coach Bruce French from here but I don't think it is. Or maybe Brian May. An unexpected and spectacular entrance from an England fan.

It was the full monty, no shoes.

Here's a fully-clothed Bruce French, presenting Ben Foakes with his England cap yesterday...

There are 12 overs left, by the book. Will we lose a few for the changeover? I think so.

So a bit of batting for England to do.

It is only the fourth time in 50 years that England have had three spinners take two or more wickets in a Test innings.

Lakmal c Anderson b Rashid 15 (SL 203 ALL OUT)

England do wrap it up in the end! A fine day's work in anyone's book, with England taking a first-innings lead of 139 runs.

The end comes with a miscued shot up in the air and Jimmy Anderson safely holds on.

Another day, another burst of fireworks for Rangana Herath.

The Sri Lanka spinner came to the crease with smoke billowing across the fort after firecrackers greeted his arrival. England’s players forming a guard of honour for the most successful ever left-armer in Test history. Almost expected more fireworks when DRS reprieved him after being given out LBW.

Must be a really strange week this for Herath. As well as hundreds of posters of him across the city, here at the ground there are lots of life size cut-outs of him positioned on boundary boards and on advertising boards. Maybe it was meant to intimidate England’s batsmen!

Adil Rashid v Rangana Herath, box office stuff. Every ball is a contest, sweeps v googlies.

Rashid drops short and Suranga Lakmal hits him hard, only a single though. Pesky runs for England to ship here. A bizarre reverse swat away from the 40-year-old Herath brings more runs.

Another lbw appeal but that's an inside edge again.

  8. SL 200-9published at 67 overs

    Eng lead by 142

Rangana Herath is batting like it's his final Test. Every shot is pre-meditated, reverse sweeps for fun.

Jack Leach rattles through another over as Suranga Lakmal joins the party, clubbed for four into the leg side. That's the 200 up, ironic cheers from the England fans but these are useful 10th-wicket runs.

Jonathan France: This is as good a bowling performance in the sub-continent by England as I can remember. Patient, disciplined and taking their catches.

I wouldn't like to be a short leg with Herath looking to sweep at every option.

    England lead by 150

Shot! Rangana Herath gets down on one knee and hits a lovely sweep away for four. Inbetween the reprieve and the boundary there was a snorter of a googly which almost found the edge.

    All going on.

That's Sri Lanka's first non-appalling review of the match, isn't it?

  14. Not outpublished at 10:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2018

The veteran has got this one right - he's not out. A touch of glove on the ball before it hit the pads. Joe Root shakes his head, not too happy about that one...

Adil Rashid has Rangana Herath lbw, so England think. Herath is going to review it...

The hero you didn't know you needed.

England give Adil Rashid the ball first up after the drinks break. He was bowling all sorts earlier on. In a good way.

Rory Burns is back out there.

Sri Lanka would like to get to 200 at least. A tough ask. That's drinks.

  20. SL 185-9published at 64.2 overs

Moeen Ali now has more Test wickets than John Emburey, with only three off spinners ahead of him in an England shirt.

What a shot that is! Rangana Herath with a pre-meditated reverse club off Jack Leach for four.
