Can we get under way now?!
A bit of a funky rendition of 'Ireland's Call' blaring out at Malahide.
Anyway, all the anthems done and finally we'll get some cricket...

Aston Smith: Looking at the forecast, when (not if) they come off for rain in Ireland's innings, we won't get back on the park again today...
Who do we think England will open the bowling with? David Willey and Tom Curran?
So we may have to wait a little longer for Jofra Archer's first bowl in international cricket. Go well, young man.

I know we would rather not have these problems like Hales, Archer and Roy arising but I am not sure if they are an altogether bad thing. A bit of change and friction can get a team out of their comfort zone and keep developing. The best teams go through steady change and we need to take the positives out of these challenges.

Jofra Archer smashed Rajasthan Royals to victory the other day in the IPL, he can't actually be coming in number 11 can he?
Tremendous strength in depth in England's batting today.

BBC Test Match Special
Ireland captain Will Porterfield: "There may be a bit in it early on, but sometimes it doesn't do as much as it suggests. We've got three young lads making their debut - they were born in the 2000s, so that makes me feel old. We've seen what Scotland did last year and it's a good opportunity for us in home conditions to put one over on England."
BBC Test Match Special
Eoin Morgan on England's three debutants: "Its' a fantastic opportunity for those three guys. One of the strengths for us has been the strength of depth and competition for places in the squad. That's one of the reasons our batting has gone from strength to strength. Today is one of those days where we can give those guys an opportunity."

That's a good toss to win, I reckon.
BBC Test Match Special
England captain Eoin Morgan: "The reality of it is I think the umpires have done a good job. The sun did come out and it has dried the patches. Player safety is a priority and the umpires have put that at the forefront of their thinking. We're excited to get going here today in any sort of fixture. We want to get off and running with our summer."
The hosts hand debuts to bowling all-rounder Mark Adair and 19-year-old pace bowler Josh Little.
Ireland XI: William Porterfield (capt), Mark Adair, Andrew Balbirnie, George Dockrell, Josh Little, Tim Murtagh, Kevin O'Brien, Boyd Rankin, Paul Stirling, Lorcan Tucker, Gary Wilson (wk).
England have a brand new opening partnership, with debutant Dawid Malan partnering James Vince. Jonny Bairstow was always going to be rested but Jason Roy is out with a back injury. Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler are also rested. Ben Foakes takes the gloves on debut and in comes all-rounder Jofra Archer for a long-awaited first England apperance.
England XI: James Vince, Dawid Malan, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (capt), Joe Denly, Ben Foakes (wk), David Willey, Tom Curran, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, Jofra Archer.
Well the TV microphone is broken but I can just about make out that Eoin Morgan has won the toss and England are going to bowl first.
Right, just two minutes until the toss.
Stay tuned for full team news and reaction from both captains...

We know England have got the best chance of winning a World Cup, ever. And Alex Hales could be sat there watching his mates lift with the World Cup. And that's when this situation will really sink in
It's only when you come out of the other side of international cricket that you realise these are the best days of your life, so while you're there, it's important to make those sacrifices.
Yes, have a good time, but be sensible. The real good teams are the ones that live those words of team culture, and they're not just words on the wall.

The pitch looks nice. There's a little bit of grass on it, as you'd expect at this time of year.
Right, the match will be 45 overs per side and the toss will take place at 12:15 BST.
Good news! We will have cricket, starting at 12:45 BST.
There will be a reduction in the number of overs but still to be confirmed by how many.
