And another! Chris Woakes is all over Pakistan's top order. This one nibbles off the pitch, comes back and traps Mohammad Hafeez in front. It clatters into Hafeez's pads and England go up for a big appeal. The umpire's finger is up again. What a start!

Woakes packed that off side but actually slipped it in as he saw Abid Ali falling off line. Abid will look back at the replay and be gutted.

Abid Ali can probably feel a little aggrieved - but it's hitting the stumps, so he's out.

Oooof! Just clipping leg stump and the umpire's decision stands! Abid Ali is out. That's one of those that feels a little harsh, even if the technology says it would have hit the stumps. It would have clipped the very top of leg.

David Willey - looking viking-like with his blond hair held back with a headband and a lengthening beard growing on his chin - grimaces as Abid misses another.
Willey has found a bit of swing here but can't quite control it with a wide signaled.
That's a good shot from the diminutive right-hander, though. Willey floats up another looking for the edge but Abid punches for four.
Willey beats the bat first up as Abid Ali goes on a dangerous fishing trip.
Now the bowl off begins. David Willey, one of the players fighting for a World Cup place, is going to open from the other end.

Chris Woakes starts with a wicket maiden. With every over he looks to be getting into better rhythm.

Brilliant start from Chris Woakes. Fakhar Zaman goes for the big drive but edges straight to Joe Root at second slip. There's no juggle from Root this time, which is what he did in the earlier games in the series. This one is safely pouched and England are off celebrating an important wicket.
Chris Woakes' arms are up in the air already. He starts with a beauty that beats the dangerous Fakhar Zaman.

Pakistan have a new opener here. Abid Ali is playing for the first time in the series. He averages 56 in three matches and already has a hundred. That came against Australia.
The England players are going through a few stretches on the boundary edge.
If this was the other way around and England were chasing 352 then you'd say they were favourites.
