    Well Stuart, they're not!

See you all at Old Trafford in 10 days or so.

    Here's the report and highlights.

  2. 'I thought the Ashes were over'published at 17:20 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

England bowler Stuart Broad on Sky Sports: "The emotions of that last hour were outrageous. Cricketers don't go through that in careers - so for some of these World Cup players to go through that twice in six weeks is outrageous.

"The belief has always been there in this game. But nine down, one ball finishes the Ashes series. Of course I thought the Ashes were over."

  3. 'It was spectacular - it had everything'published at 17:17 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

England's Stuart Broad on Sky Sports: "It was one of those 'I was there' moments.

"It was absolutely spectacular. I don't think anyone in this ground will see a better innings. It had everything. He struck the ball beautifully.

"The bloke has got the heart of a lion. Everything he does is for the team. He is the perfect team-mate. he didn't celebrate his fifty; he didn't celebrate his hundred. He deserves everything that comes his way because he's an incredible cricketer and an even better bloke."

The final wicket stand of 76 is the third highest in the history of first class cricket.

That is England's fourth one-wicket win in a Test match, the last time was 1923 in Cape Town.

Ben Stokes also broke the record for the most sixes in an Ashes innings with eight, beating Kevin Pietersen's seven at The Oval in 2005.

England would have been embarrassed by their batting in the first innings.

But they did believe they could do it. You have to always believe.

The 67 could prove to be the watershed moment with England's batting. Because they proved they could do it.

If they didn't know before the game how to bat against a three-man pace attack, how to grind them down and earn the right to score runs later, they do now.

  7. 'I'm backing us to go on and win it'published at 17:16 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

England bowler Stuart Broad on Sky Sports: "On day one we should have bowled Australia out for 120 to be honest. I apologised to the guys after that. 67 all out is inexcusable, we didn't show any responsibility, we didn't communicate well. It was really poor.

"Then we could have bowled them out for 150 again in the second innings. It's been a sloppy game for us but one man's heroics has bailed us out and now we all have to step it up.

"Headingley has seen some special Tests over the years, the support was incredible. 1-1 didn't look possible two hours ago and now I am backing us to go on and win it."

Just 36 hours ago, the headline was 'England surrender the Ashes'.

This team, or rather Ben Stokes, have turned it around.

Talking about that missed lbw call should not detract from Ben Stokes' innings.

That was as close to Ian Botham in '81 as you'll ever get.

In fact, it was more pure. All of Ben Stokes' sixes were there.

I thought the new ball might do a bit more. It actually played into England's hands. England were struggling to get it off the square and all of a sudden runs started flowing.

Australia hit back with three quick wickets after lunch and then it was down to 5% chance for England to win.

He is leaving no stone unturned in his career and is working harder than anyone.

At the back of your mind, you knew it was danger if Ben Stokes was there at the end because he's so powerful.

Hitting boundaries with Jack Leach defending the odd ball was the only way England were going to win and they pulled it off.

Australia will be disappointed. They had chances to win this game. Their dressing room will be a horrible place to be right now.

For England, it will feel like the World Cup has just carried on.
