That is a huge wicket for Australia. That is bang in front.

    Root lbw b Hazlewood 71 (Eng 175-4)

Just what England did not want. Late in the day Joe Root is out.

This looks absolutely plumb. It's the perfect ball to Root, a good length and nipping back off the pitch.

Root doesn't even really think about reviewing. He knows he was out.

  3. Eng 172-3published at 66.4 overs

Shot! A fine way to get off the mark.

I'm not sure Australia will mind Jason Roy driving but this time he crunches the ball through the covers.

  4. Eng 168-3published at 66.2 overs

Jason Roy has faced 10 balls now and is yet to score. He leaves Hazlewood outside off. Good to see.

Re 18:02 - only one Australia batsman has gone big when they’ve got in this series. It was a great knock from Burns, we should give credit where it’s due instead of constantly getting the players’ backs.

Rory Burns has scored 323 runs in the series, the most by an England opener other than Alastair Cook in an Ashes series since Joe Root in 2013.

The players have been having a drink by the way. Josh Hazlewood will continue.

Burns had played really well. 81 from 185 balls.

That Burns wicket was the first to fall since Craig Overton fell in the second over of the day...

Nathan Lyon continues to probe away. Jason Roy looks a little jerky for my liking. It looks like he's searching for form. He still looks the part with his shirt collar turned up and long-sleeved shirt under his sleeveless jumper.

Thanks Amy. A big Test for Jason Roy now. England can't let Rory Burns' hard work go to waste.

There are 90 minutes to go until the close but I doubt we'll get there unless the light improves.

Jonathan France: The difference between Australia & England is that when a Australian batsmen get in, they go big. When an English batsmen gets in, they get a nice looking 50....then get out!

James McHale: Yet another not able to go on to a ton. Well played, but to win a series you need top order batsmen getting tons.

Jason Roy blocks and lets a Josh Hazlewood swinger go past his off stump.

A wicket-maiden for the fabulous Hazlewood.

Right, there are 16 overs before the new ball. This is a good pitch. Jason Roy should not be doing anything stupid here.
