Peter Siddle didn't quite get his line and length right in the first session. He's come back well here. Australia have made the batsmen work really hard for every run in this series so far, and they've just let them off the hook here.

    An odd way to go.

Give Stuart Broad two more Ashes series at David Warner and Glenn's duck record will be gone.

    BBC Test Match Special statistician

You have 35 ducks for Australia, Glenn. Shane Warne has 34. Only Chris Martin and Courtney Walsh made more ducks than you.

I still hold the record for most ducks by an Australian cricketer.

How many sessions would you say England have won in this series so far? Arguably even THE Stokes session we lost given the number of wickets the Aussies took. Thoughts...?

It will turn on this pitch. It was a strange toss to put England in. I would be absolutely fuming - I saw Justin Langer's face at the toss...

  11. Eng 105-2published at 32 overs

    Root 36, Stokes 1

Root plays late and dabs to third man for a single before Stokes gets off the mark, walking down at Siddle and clipping off his pads for one.

Given the way Australia have caught this morning, Burns could have reasonably expected Mitch Marsh to shell that one...

Burns got tucked up and tried to work it into the on side, and it just looped away. A straightforward catch, taken. A really tame dismissal.

    Burns c Marsh b Hazlewood 47 (Eng 103-2)

Rory Burns, what have you done?

A really ugly, bizarre and tame dismissal, the England opener trying to pull it round the corner but only managing to chip the ball straight up off the splice.

The ball loops up for Mitchell Marsh to take the simplest of catches at mid-wicket.

Another fine knock but there should have been so much more.
