Rory Taylor: If this is not an official ODI, do you mean to say that England have missed the chance to play 13 batsman and be the first side to score 700 in a 50-over game?
Smith hit 116 for Australia in his side's 297-9
England bowled out for 285 - Vince top scores with 64
Smith & Warner were playing against England for first time since ball-tampering bans
Warner hit 43 before holing out in the deep
Both Smith & Warner booed when they walked out to bat & at milestones

Lovely shot from Steve Smith. He gave himself two overs to have a look at Liam Dawson but he flicks the first delivery of his third to the mid-wicket boundary for four.

Philip Mulligan: Australia still seem happy to get just around 300. No urgency. Game's evolved, they seem five years behind.

Stokes have been really impressive today, both with the ball and in the field.
Smith 38, Khawaja 14
Ben Stokes is back into the attack and the Australian batsman continue to be watchful, just the two singles off the over.
Here are the wickets to fall so far today...
Steve Smith looks uncertain as he chops another delivery into the ground. He is more convincing next up though, cutting the final ball of the over to the fielder at the point boundary for two.
Liam Dawson continues and that's nice from Usman Khawaja. A pre-meditated reverse sweep that disappears down to third man for four.

Ian Ross Davies: Desperate to see Smith Out - Ct. Collingwood...
Liam Plunkett continues with a mixed over including two successive wides but also a delivery that catches the leading edge of Usman Khawaja's bat and is just out of reach of Jason Roy at backward point.
Meanwhile Paul Collingwood is back on the field, he can't get enough of it.
You can't imagine England having so many overs where they score less than five runs. This skyscraper is so instructive of Australia's style.
Thanks Matthew.
And as I arrive so does Liam Dawson, who is into the attack for the first time. A watchful approach from the Australia batsman with just the three runs off it, including a scampered single off the final ball.
Smith 31, Khawaja 3
I watched enough of Steve Smith to last a lifetime in the last Ashes. Will it be the same again this summer?
I'm done for a bit. Tom Mallows is here to take you through to the end of this innings.
And again. This one is a lovely drive off Liam Plunkett from Smith. Who is starting to think we're going to be watching a lot of him again this summer?
Four more to Smith. He looks like he's hardly been away.
Moeen Ali has raced through seven overs here. He has only conceded 34 runs at just under five an over. He'll be targeting the wicket of Usman Khawaja here, a player he's had the better of in the past.
Earlier, David Warner was booed to the crease, hit a few fours but didn't look his best, and then was booed back to the dressing room after this dismissal...

I think expectations in Australia are tempered. People are realistic enough to recognise that this is a rebuilding side that has been through some trauma.
So I don't imagine people are expecting a World Cup win. They would probably be happy with a semi-final, but that isn't a given as there are plenty of good teams in this tournament.
Smith 18, Khawaja 1
Usman Khawaja comes out at number five for Australia. He has been opening for the Aussies in recent times - and successfully too - but has been pushed down the order today to accommodate David Warner.
Steve Smith spoils Plunkett's over by driving for four. Smith looks just like he always does.

For all Australia’s recent resurgence in ODI cricket you really can’t have a number four that crawls to 30 and gloves a leg-side delivery behind to the keeper.
