A little flick from Shahzad and very high on the bat. The further the bat is away from the body the more you lose control of the stroke.
Shahzad c Karunaratne b Malinga 7 (Afg 34-1)
The captain isn't dropping this one!
It's a slower ball from Lasith Malinga, perhaps just sticking in the pitch a touch, and Mohammad Shazhad can only carve it straight to Dimuth Karunaratne at mid-wicket.

It was a top edge and he had time to get underneath it. He just mis-judged it and the head and the hands were still moving.
My word.
This is a proper swipe, a leading edge flying high into the air, but Kusal Mendis should have caught this. He's running in at fine leg, gets under the ball, and just lets it slap in and out of his palms. Malinga is fuming.

You've got to think very quickly when you are defending a total that is very low.
Batting like Hazratullah Zazai.
Step one: Get your front leg out of the way.
Step two: Absolutely smash the living daylights out of the ball.
The result is another huge slog over mid-wicket for four.
Some shot, this.
Target 187 (DLS)
Not only is Hazratullah Zazai an incredibly pleasing name to say, he's also just unfurled a tonk of a drive to wallop a Suranga Lakmal half-volley through long-on for four.
Some excellent stuff, Lakmal cutting Shahzad in half with one that nips back over the stumps, is followed by some dross, a short pitched delivery flying way over everyone's head to be called wide.

The last time Malinga played in a winning Sri Lanka team was in September 2017. He has played in 22 matches without a win.
Hazratullah Zazai is so much fun. A stonking, firm, back foot drive splits the fielders and adds another four to the total.
I'd be quite happy for Jeremy Coney to narrate my life.

Lakmal, if he was guilty of anything, it was being a little bit short in that over.
Target 187 (DLS)
One hand off the bat from Mohammad Shahzad as he punches a drive through cover, and the ball teases the Sri Lankan fielders all the way before it thuds into the boundary rope.
Lovely stuff.
Oh, YES!
Short, way, way too short from Suranga Lakmal, and Hazratullah Zazai almost swings himself off his feet as he thumps it over mid-wicket for a big 'un.

Sri Lanka might not have got the total they would have liked but they do have some bowlers that might suit them in these conditions.
Accurate from Suranga Lakmal, his first delivery just shaving the off stump as Hazratullah prods forward.
Here's Suranga Lakmal.
Here's how the Sri Lankan innings came to an end.

That was a good over, it went for six but it could easily have got a couple of wickets.
