Rahul 6, Rohit 1
That's an impressive over from teenager Mujeeb. He follows that good first delivery with five dots.
It has been a tidy start from Afghanistan. We often see this from India, though. Their openers don't really go crazy from the off. They like to play themselves in first.
Close! KL Rahul does go on the attack but slices the ball narrowly past mid-wicket. Skipper Gulbadin Naib applauds his bowler.

Prayags: India seem to have the best schedule. Tough matches at the beginning to get going, then a bit relaxed during middle of the tournament. Finally finishing up with a tough one again (ENG) towards the end to ensure 100% readiness for semi-finals.
There was a little bit of swing there for Alam, who can only be described as military medium. Afghanistan do lack proper pace in their attack.
India are yet to hit a shot in anger though. It looks a good pitch.
Those that are in the ground are going to get tired if they're going to keep getting to their feet to wave their India flags every time the batsmen score a run.
KL Rahul jogs an easy two.
Aftab Alam straps his green and red headband around his forehead and is going to start the bowling from the other end.

Afghanistan's goal has to be more consistency and to be competitive. Nobody expects them to win, but they just haven't been competitive really. Look at Rashid Khan - he got a tonking the other day. He's learned the game in T20 cricket, where batsman have to get after him straight away. When he's got 10 overs to bowl, batsman can sit in and then destroy him later on.
Rahul 2, Rohit 1
It's a low-key start from India. They push the ball into the off side and scamper through for a couple more singles.
It's a relatively sedate start in the crowd too. There are plenty of empty seats as the spectators make their way to the ground.
The first runs come on the second ball as KL Rahul knocks the ball down to long-on for a regulation single.

V: Shami is playing for India today. I’ve missed watching him play.
Spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman is going to open the bowling for Afghanistan, as he did against England.
Rohit Sharma walks to the middle with his bat on his shoulder like a lumberjack carrying his axe.
His partner KL Rahul will face the first ball.
That's the anthems done. India's players look completely focused.
Afghanistan together into a huddle and experienced players Mohammad Nabi and Asghar Afghan lead the pep talk.
India cricket supporters might have noticed legendary Bollywood actor Amrish Puri is the subject of a Google Doodle today, on what would have been his 87th birthday. A good omen for Virat Kohli's side on this special day?

Afghanistan probably want to drop the fairytale tag now, to be more contenders. They're top cricketers who have been around a good amount of time.
It's going to be another loud one today at the Hampshire Bowl.
The players emerge for the anthems.

Anurag Goyal: 400 runs are on the cards... Kohli will surely hit a big 100!

I think 10 points will get you through the group, but as an Australian I quite like the fact some of the other countries are having to have this chat. But in all seriousness, I don't think England will have any problems. It's probably the wake-up call they needed.
As captain Gulbadin Naib said at the toss, Afghanistan did at least bat out their 50 overs in that game against England.
It was an improved performance from their batsman as they made 247-8, their highest score of the tournament so far.
Hopefully they can continue that today. If they do we could have a good competitive game.
