Bangladesh read the surface and conditions very well. It wasn't a 300 pitch and they made sure to put a score on the board that was beyond Afghanistan.

    Shakib. What a superstar.

Another very good professional performance by Bangladesh.

They move to within a point of England in fifth place.

Shinwari looks a broken man out there. Full and straight. Clean bowled.

Shinwari tosses his bat away in disgust. He can't believe he's missed out on a 50 there.

    No. No he can't.

Shinwari is gutted at the non-strikers end.

Oooh, top edge up in the air from Shinwari lands safe.

He jogs through for a single.

Can Mujeeb see out the final two deliveries and give Shinwari a chance of a World Cup half-century?

  8. Afg 199-9published at 46.3 overs

Full and straight from Mohammad Saifuddin but he's clobbered down the ground by Samiullah Shinwari and he moves to 48.

If Bangladesh don't get the wins they need to get them to the semi-final, they might look back to that match against New Zealand at The Oval.

They missed a trick there and missed out on some opportunities to win that game.

I don't think this one is quite over yet, Shinwari just needs to drill a good few boundaries in the next couple of overs and then we're set for a tight finish!

    Bayliss from London

    Wishful thinking, 'Trevor'.

Afghanistan need 68 runs from the final four overs.

Just the 17 runs an over needed.

You felt it was coming. Dawlat had prodded at the previous ball but this time he gets a thin edge through to the 'keeper.

Shakib is not the captain any more but still leads by example.

  16. Afg 194-8published at 45 overs

Three runs come from Shakib's final over.

He finishes with figures of 5-29 off his 10 overs. The best figures of this World Cup so far.

Not a bad day out when you add his half-century earlier into the equation.

Turning up at this ground, knowing it's a used pitch, if you're a batsman you want your skipper to win the toss and bat first.

Gulbadin Naib won the toss and bowled.

  20. Afg 191-8published at 44 overs

Zadran slashes at his second delivery and the slip does well to stop a ball that was racing away.

He gets in behind the last ball and keeps it out.
