Bangladesh have got a fourth slip in.

Based on that first shot from Dawlat Zadran it's not the worst shout in the world.

Rashid Khan's poor World Cup continues. He's been disappointing with the ball and not very effective with the bat. Everyone expected so much from him and it hasn't happened.

    Rashid Khan c Mortaza b Mustafizur 2 (Afg 191-8)

I did say it would be carnage or over quickly...

It's a tame dismissal for Rashid Khan as he pulls Mustafizur Rahman straight to the Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza at mid-wicket.

    Bangladesh are almost there.

This is the first time a Bangladesh bowler has taken a five-wicket haul in a men's Cricket World Cup match.

This is the problem with Afghanistan fielding first. It was a strange decision. They must have known Bangladesh would make a score and then it would be hard to score runs against the spinners.

  6. Afg 189-7published at 43 overs

Rashid Khan is the new batter.

His time at the crease is either going to be carnage or over very quickly.

Afghanistan need 74 runs from seven overs at a run-rate of 10.57.

Shakib is now only the second player in men's World Cup history to take five wickets and hit a 50 in the same match after India's Yuvraj Singh against Ireland in 2011.

Shakib has all the variation and all the skill. He'll still be hunting for these last three wickets if he can.

Najibullah st Mushfiqur b Shakib 23 (Afg 188-7)

    Shakib's got five!

Najibullah Zadran comes down the pitch, looking to hit Shakib back over his head, but misses and Mushfiqur whips the bails off with the minimum of fuss.

Najibullah didn't even try to get back.

  10. Afg 184-6published at 42 overs

Decent enough over again for Afghanistan with seven runs added to the total. They can't find the boundary though.

The fifty partnership came up in that over though, off just 41 balls. These two have played nicely.

Afghanistan need 79 from 48 balls.

  11. Shinwari and Najibullah hit fourspublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 24 June 2019

Why has Shinwari not played in this World Cup until today?

Why is Najibullah coming in at eight?

Some teams on some grounds could chase this down from here.

I can't see Afghanistan doing it though. These are big boundaries and they don't have a Carlos Brathwaite.

Bangladesh are in a better position than England because they don't play again until after England have played two more matches.

England are under pressure while Bangladesh have time to watch the chess moves.

    Hello!

Samiullah Shinwari has got his levers working and carts Shakib over the long-off boundary.

Why has he not played in this World Cup!?!

Eleven runs come for Shakib's eighth over.

Shakib has conceded three runs from the first two balls. It's already his most expensive over of the day.

Bangladesh's last two matches are against India and Pakistan.

The Tigers have won just five in 34 completed matches against India. And India have won the last four in a row.

Against Pakistan, they have also won five in 36 completed matches - but they have won the last four meetings in a row.

Afghanistan need 97 runs from the final 10 overs.

That is now five instances of an overthrow in this game; the most in a match at this World Cup.
