  1. In Division Two...published at 11:35 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

Here's the state of play in our five matches:

Sussex are closing in on their first championship win of the season against Durham.

They resumed at Chester-le-Street today on 144-3 - just 68 short of victory.

    They're now just 38 short on 174-3.

Middlesex have a battle on their hands at Lord's, where they began day four on 68-2, trailing Lancashire by 94.

Sam Robson and nightwatchman James Harris have taken the hosts to 85-2.

Worcestershire remain in control at Grace Road, where Leicestershire are 140-7 a mini recovery after slumping to 31-3.

Harry Dearden and Lewis Hill both fell for ducks to Charlie Morris but Ackermann is still there on 46. The hosts remain 111 behind.

Derbyshire began day four of their match in Bristol on 97-2, a lead of 38 over Gloucestershire and are now 54 in front on 113-3.

A draw looks inevitable in Cardiff where Northants are 539-4 in reply to Glamorgan's 570-8 declared.

Five batsmen have made centuries in the match to date and Rob Keogh is now 83 not out.

    Yorkshire 554-7 dec v Hampshire 302 & 59-8 (f/o)

    Holland outImage source, Rex Features

Two in two balls for Yorkshire and Ben Coad...

The man to fall first ball is someone who has come in as a substitute in Ian Holland.

That has to be one of the shortest-lived matches of all time then as he is plumb in front first ball!

Holland has been brought in it seems for Lewis McManus, who took a blow on the head yesterday while facing Duanne Olivier.

Yorkshire now just two wickets away...

  3. Bears five down at HQpublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Warwks 346 & 99-5 (f/o) v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 59

This pitch is starting to play one or two tricks with the odd ball keeping low and a nasty lifter bowled by Harry Podmore.

Ambrose gets away with a nick that doesn't carry and runs away through the slips to third man for four.

He gets off strike with a single off the next ball and Milnes defends.

  4. wicket

    WICKET Berg c Kohler-Cadmore b Coad 0published at 11:29 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Yorkshire 554-7 dec v Hampshire 302 & 59-7 (f/o)

Another one down for Hampshire and Yorkshire now just three wickets away from victory.

Gareth Berg slashes at a wide delivery from Ben Coad outside off and that's yet another slip catch for Tom Kohler-Cadmore in this match.

That's six in total for him so far which in my club cricket money, means he'll be shouting a double jug in the bar later!

  6. Early breakthrough for Kent as new recruit announcedpublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Warwks 346 & 90-5 (f/o) v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 68

New batsman Tom Milnes looks on at the non-striker's end as Tim Ambrose blocks out a Darren Stevens over.

The fifth ball drifts to leg and Ambrose pats it away for one.

Milnes leaves the last ball outside off.

Meanwhile, here's a bit of news from Kent CCC...

  7. wicket

WICKET Rossouw lbw b Coad 3published at 11:19 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Yorkshire 554-7 dec v Hampshire 302 & 55-6 (f/o)

It's a procession all of a sudden in division one!

Yorkshire have the first of the five wickets they need to win big at the Ageas Bowl.

Rilee Rossouw is leg before to Ben Coad as one just doesn't get up on him and there's little doubt there for the umpire.

  8. wicket

WICKET Hain c Robinson b Podmore 38published at 11:16 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Warwks 346 & 89-5 (f/o) v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 69

Harry Podmore bowls to three slips and a gully at a sunny Edgbaston.

Big appeal for lbw off the third ball to Sam Hain but the umpire is unmoved.

    Got him this time!

Sam Hain lunges forward with a slightly crooked bat off the last ball of the over and edges behind.

    Kent have the early breakthrough.

  9. wicket

WICKET Patel c Browne b Harmer 1published at 11:15 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Surrey 395 & 71-2 v Essex 448

    HarmerImage source, Rex Features

    Well now....

All of a sudden, Essex have bagged two wickets in two overs as first-innings centurion Ryan Patel falls for just a single.

Mistimes a pull shot to mid-on where Nick Browne takes the catch to give Simon Harmer a wicket.

    Surrey just 18 ahead.

  10. wicket

WICKET Stoneman b Siddle 35published at 11:08 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Surrey 395 & 70-1 v Essex 448

    SiddleImage source, Rex Features

    CLANG! Got him!

Peter Siddle has a wicket early in the day for Essex as he comprehensively bowls Mark Stoneman.

There goes his off stump out of the ground and maybe Essex might have an opening here.

  11. Hain on the attackpublished at 11:07 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Warwks 346 & 87-4 (f/o) v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 71

Sam Hain is also out of the blocks straight away as he drills a full length ball from Harry Podmore straight down the ground for four.

Meanwhile, here's an interesting bit of gossip at Warwickshire HQ:

  12. Bright sunshine at The Ovalpublished at 11:06 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Surrey 395 & 68-0 v Essex 448

Rory Burns and Mark Stoneman resume for Surrey in their second innings with a 15-run lead over Essex.

It all looked rather sedate in terms of the pitch for them last night, which suggests chances of a positive result there may hinge on some sort of deal between the skippers.

    But, stranger things have happened...

  13. Ambrose up and runningpublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Warwks 346 & 83-4 (f/o) v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 75

A bit of a freebie first up from Darren Stevens, who greets Tim Ambrose with a full and friendly leg side ball whch the batsman pats away to square leg for four.

Five dots to end the over.

  14. Off and running at the Bowlpublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Yorkshire 554-7 dec v Hampshire 302 & 54-5 (f/o)

And we're off and running at the Ageas Bowl.

Yorkshire searching for five more wickets to wrap up a big innings win.

Duanne Olivier opening up to his countryman Rilee Rossouw at the start of the day....

  15. Hampshire face uphill battlepublished at 11:00 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Yorkshire 554-7 dec v Hampshire 302 & 54-5 (f/o)

Hampshire look like they might be on the receiving end of an innings defeat this week after they handed one out to Essex last week.

Yorkshire need just five more of their second innings wickets as the hosts are still 198 runs adrift of making them bat again.

But first-team manager Adrian Birrell knows his team must fight all the way...

  16. Day four begins at Edgbastonpublished at 11:00 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Warwks 346 & 79-4 (f/o) v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 79

This could be a very tense morning at HQ for Warwickshire.

The pitch has played well so far but Kent have piled on the pressure with a glut of runs on the board and good disciplined bowling.

Sam Hain and Tim Ambrose are at the crease.

  17. Jones ton puts Lancashire in chargepublished at 10:59 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Middlesex 265 & 68-2 v Lancashire 427

Lancashire will fancy their chances of being able to force a win on the final day at Lord's against Middlesex.

A century on day three from Rob Jones (122) helped them register a first-innings lead of 162.

Late wickets from the bowlers as well helped that victory bid and Jones caught up with BBC Radio Lancashire at the close on Saturday...

  18. Could be a tricky morning aheadpublished at 10:57 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

Sussex 144-3 need 68 more runs to beat Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

I awoke to steel grey skies across the North East this morning and thought this could be a good day for the bowlers.

Although the track has flattened out a bit here in Chester-le-Street, Sussex can't use the heavy roller again. With cold conditions and the cloud cover this could well be a morning for the seamers.

If Durham can take a couple of early wickets, then it will be real test of the mental character of Sussex too. However, if Stiaan Van Zyl and Laurie Evans are able to settle down early and continue their partnership, the visitors will wrap this one up before lunch.

But I cast my mind back to August 2016. Durham, with five wickets in hand, returned on the third morning at Taunton needing 46 to win and lost! These things do happen.

  19. Sussex look to wrap up winpublished at 10:55 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Durham 224 & 189 v Sussex 202 & 144-3 (target 212)

Sussex are just 68 runs short of wrapping up a hard-fought win against Durham.

It's been a game of real grind for batsmen at Chester-le-Street but Stiaan van Zyl will resume on 66 not out for the visitors.

Earlier, David Wiese took 5-43 to set up the run chase and he spoke to BBC Sussex at the end of day three.

  20. sun

Weather outlookpublished at 10:52 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

Bright, but not that warm has pretty much been the theme weather-wise throughout this round of fixtures.

And it looks set to continue that way for the last day according to our colleagues at the BBC Weather centre.

Chance of a shower further west later in the day I'm told....
