WICKET Maharaj b Curran 0published at 15:55 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 231-7 v Surrey

What a turnaround there has been at Scarborough this afternoon.

Keshav Maharaj marks his first innings for Yorkshire with a golden duck as he is bowled by an inswinging yorker from Sam Curran as he attempts to drive.

Remember, the home side were 187-1 at one point.

  2. Somerset look to rebuildpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Somerset 265-3 v Hampshire

Somerset now have two batting points at Taunton, but George Bartlett is fortunate to still be there after gloving a pull shot off Kyle Abbott and seeing the ball just clear leaping keeper Tom Alsop before rolling away to the boundary.

Abbott has now been replaced by Mason Crane, with Bartlett 11 not out and Tom Banton on 33.

  3. Tea at Sedbergh Schoolpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Lancashire 136-3 v Durham

After two Durham wickets early in the afternoon session, Liam Livingstone (30) and Rob Jones (27) have shown great discipline to dig in for Lancashire.

After adding 55 in 23.2 overs, the pair have been stopped only by the bad light which has forced a slightly early tea.

Still 36 overs left in the day - if the weather holds.

  4. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Kent 212-2 v Warwickshire

Relentless progress for Kent against badly depleted Warwickshire.

Sean Dickson is just 14 short of a third Championship century of the season on 86, while Daniel Bell-Drummond (13) has so far helped him add 26 for the third wicket.

  5. wicket

WICKET Willey c Stoneman b Curran 19published at 15:49 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 231-6 v Surrey

    Another one goes at Scarborough.

David Willey flays a ball from Sam Curran through the covers for four, but the next one is dug in short and he top edges an attempted pull.

Willey is already heading in the direction of the dressing room as the ball lands in Mark Stoneman's hands.

South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj is the new batsman on his Yorkshire debut.

  6. wicket

WICKET Fletcher lbw b Porter 1published at 15:46 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 168-8 v Essex

The Notts collapse gathers pace. Luke Fletcher is next to go as he overbalances in front of the stumps looking to play through the on side to earn Jamie Porter his third wicket.

England's Stuart Broad arrives at the crease.

  7. 50 runs

Slow going at Sedberghpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Lancashire 131-3 v Durham

It has been slow progress on the first day of first-class cricket in Cumbria, at Sedbergh School.

Having been put in by Durham, Lancashire have found it hard work, scoring at little more than two runs per over.

But they now at least have their first 50 partnership of the innings - something for the very good crowd to accord with warm applause. Liam Livingstone on 30. Rob Jones is on 23.

  8. Division Two round-uppublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

Marnus Labuschagne has another century in his sights for leaders Glamorgan. He is now 81 not out in their 224-2 against Worcestershire.

Debutant Fynn Hudson-Prentice is unbeaten on 37 in Derbyshire's 237-2 in the 59th over against Middlesex.

Sussex are still striving to finish off the Northants tail at Hove, but Saif Zaib has 31 and the visitors have advanced to 163-7 in the 64th over.

  9. Postpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

In the white-ball game at Bristol, Australia A are 51-1 in the seventh over, replying to Gloucestershire's 246-8. Will Pucovski has just been joined by Travis Head after Matthew Wade hit four sixes in his 41 off 20 balls.

  10. wicket

WICKET Abell c Weatherley b Abbott 82published at 15:32 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Somerset 237-3 v Hampshire

Kyle Abbott charges in again and Tom Abell is caught low by the solitary Hampshire slip.

That is a setback for Somerset as their captain was well set, but his departure brings George Bartlett to the middle to join Tom Banton.

Incidentally, for anyone wondering why Craig Overton isn't in the Somerset team for this match, we are reliably informed he has a groin strain.

  11. wicket

WICKET Moores b Harmer 0published at 15:29 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 163-7 v Essex

Notts definitely in a mess now as a seventh wicket goes down - and spinner Simon Harmer, gets in on the act with his first scalp of the day.

It's a seventh-ball duck for Tom Moores, who gets done in the flight to allow Harmer to edge back ahead of Jeetan Patel as the country's leading wicket taker, on 45.

Notts have slid from 126-2 half an hour after lunch to 163-7, a familiar tale this season. Skipper Steven Mullaney's 74 has been the only stand-out innings.

  12. Abell acceleratespublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Somerset 231-2 v Hampshire

    Tom AbellImage source, Rex Features

Tom Abell has now assumed the senior role for the Division One leaders following the dismissal of James Hildreth for 105.

A couple of sweeps for four from the occasional off-spin of Joe Weatherley take him to 76 not out and he square cuts Kyle Abbott to the boundary in the following over.

Partner Tom Banton is on 17 not out.

  13. Ashwin lbw b Porter 5published at 15:22 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 162-6 v Essex

Ravi Ashwin is next out for Notts at Trent Bridge, as he becomes a second victim for Jamie Porter, with a ball that looked as if it might perhaps have drifted down leg side.

Home debutant Ashwin's first innings as a Notts batsman comes to an end - and suddenly the hosts' batting efforts look a bit more in keeping with their previous efforts this season.

Skipper Steve Mullaney successfully promoted himself up the order to make 74. But, without him, Notts would be in a real mess today.

Essex - and Porter in particular - have their tails up and are bowling well.

  14. wicket

WICKET Leaning c Borthwick b Clark 0published at 15:15 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 209-5 v Surrey

This is quite some collapse by Yorkshire and Jack leaning is the latest to go as Jordan Clark has him caught at second slip.

That's three wickets now for the ex-Lancashire all-rounder - but his next ball is off line and new batsman David Willey flicks it away for four.

  15. wicket

WICKET Fraine c Foakes b Morkel 106published at 15:10 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 205-4 v Surrey

Will Fraine appears to have everything covered as he plays back defensively to Morne Morkel, but the ball finds a thin outside edge and England keeper Ben Foakes doesn't drop those.

Surrey have now taken three wickets for 18 runs - an excellent fightback after Yorkshire were 187-1 at one stage.

Fraine batted for 206 minutes, faced 149 balls and hit a six and 19 fours. A marvellous innings and one which his side need to ensure they do not waste.

  16. DIvision Two round-uppublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

Luis Reece has fallen four runs short of a century for Derbyshire after opening partner Billy Godleman made 102 against Middlesex. The home side are now 223-2 in the 50th over.

Leaders Glamorgan have lost Nick Selman for 67 against Worcestsrshire, but Marnus Labuschagne has progressed to 61 not out in their 182-2.

Ollie Robinson has another five-for for Sussex after having Adam Rossington caught behind for 35. Northants are 150-7 in the 53rd over at Hove.

  17. A proper cricket matchpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Lancashire 108-3 v Durham

There might be a bit of a game going on at Edgbaston today, but one former Lancashire legend certainly knows where his bread's buttered.

It's 45 years ago almost to the day since David Lloyd hit his highest Test score, 214 not out, for England against India at Edgbaston. , external

But, rather than go back to Brum to watch that one, the former Lancashire opener has instead stayed up north at captivating Sedbergh School, watching his old side add a new entry to their collection of home first-class venues.

And, being Bumble, he was even persuaded to do a quick turn at the mike for Radio Lancashire.

Where did he get that hat though?

  18. wicket

WICKET Denly c Patel b Lamb 22published at 15:04 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Kent 186-2 v Warwickshire

No sooner than Sean Dickson and Joe Denly have completed a 50 partnership than they are parted.

Denly goes, to earn medium pacer Matt Lamb only his fifth first-class wicket - and second of the season.

Sean Dickson remains, on 77, homing in on a third ton of the season.

  19. wicket

WICKET Clarke lbw b Siddle 15published at 14:59 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 151-5 v Essex

A fifth wicket goes down as Joe Clarke departs rubbing his thigh.

Beaten all ends up and leg before wicket in the first ball of Peter Siddle's return to the attack.

That continues Clarke's poor recent run of scores.

Since starting the season with scores of 112 and 97* on his Notts debut, following his winter move from Worcestershire, the one-time England hopeful has made just 122 Championship runs in 12 innings.

  20. wicket

WICKET Hildreth c Barker b Edwards 105published at 14:59 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Somerset 196-2 v Hampshire

James Hildreth's superb innings comes to an end at Taunton as Fidel Edwards bangs one into the deck and the right-hander pulls a catch to Keith Barker at mid-wicket.

It's a disappointing way to go after hitting 105 off only 129 balls, including a six and 14 fours, and putting on 178 with Tom Abell.

Another Tom, Banton, is now at the crease as his namesake's new partner.
