    Yorkshire 201-3 v Surrey

Jordan Clark claims his second victim as Tom Kohler-Cadmore tries to flash the ball away off the back foot and drags it into his stumps.

Yorkshire have their first batting point, though, as Jack leaning comes out to join centurion Will Fraine.

So, Somerset's James Hildreth now has 46 hundreds - and still hasn't played a Test match for England.

But who he is the batsman with the most first-class centuries without appearing in Test cricket?

We don't know - but if you do, let us know using #bbccricket.

We can tell you, after a bit of cursory research, that Northamptonshire's Dennis Brookes only won one Test cap despite making 71 first-class centuries, ditto Middlesex head coach Stuart Law, who hit 79 but only only played once for Australia.

Meanwhile, former Leicestershire batsman Brian Davison made 53 first-class hundreds without a Test cap, but he was a Zimbabwean.

  3. wicket

WICKET Mullaney c Wheater b Beard 74published at 14:46 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 141-4 v Essex

Nottinghamshire skipper Steven Mullaney is finally gone for 74 as the Aaron Beard/Adam Wheater combination works for the third time.

Just as with the dismissal of Chris Nash 20 minutes earlier, it isn't his best ball - but it gets another wicket.

for Will Frainepublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 192-2 v Surrey

    Will FraineImage source, Rex Features

Brilliant effort by Will Fraine, who pushes the ball into the off-side and runs through for a single to reach a 132-ball century.

It's a first in first-class cricket for the Huddersfield-born opener, who joined the county of his birth from Nottinghamshire last October.

He has hit a six and 18 fours so far and punches the air in delight before being hugged by partner Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

    Somerset 170-1 v Hampshire

James Hildreth reaches the 46th first-class hundred of his career with a six over square leg from a desperately poor long hop from Mason Crane - it has taken him 119 balls and also included 14 fours.

It's a bit of a nightmare over for the spinner, who gives away six runs in no-balls as it costs him 17.

Somerset skipper Tom Abell takes a single from the penultimate delivery to post a 125-ball fifty.

  6. wicket

WICKET Ballance c Borthwick b Clark 23published at 14:41 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 187-2 v Surrey

A bit of relief for Surrey's Jordan Clark, who has been quite expensive so far, as he produces an excellent delivery which takes the edge of Gary Ballance's bat and is caught at second slip by Scott Borthwick.

Ballance's dismissal ends a stand of 71 with Will Fraine, who only needs five more for a century.

  7. 6 runs

Fraine nears centurypublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 186-1 v Surrey

Is Will Fraine feeling nervous as he moves closer to what would be a maiden first-class hundred?

It certainly doesn't look like it as he drives a low full toss from Jordan Clark down the ground for four and then pulls a short ball for six over mid-wicket to move to 94 not out.

As a matter of interest, Fraine's initials spell Warf - and one of today's umpires is Alex Wharf. Well, it's almost an amusing coincidence.

    Lancashire 85-3 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

This country has its newest first-class venue and you will struggle to match it for its stunning views.

Sedbergh School first staged cricket in 1841. Cumberland have played Minor Counties matches here 13 times and will be here again next month. But it’s a new departure for Lancashire.

While some point to the fact this village in the Howgill Fells used to be in Yorkshire, it has become the 13th venue to host a Lancashire home County Championship game and the fifth to stage a match between these two.

And how about this for a stat? It is 79 miles from Old Trafford and 79 miles from Chester-le-Street, although Durham chairman Sir Ian Botham, who is here today, just lives a few minutes along the A66 on the other side of Kirkby Stephen. So he may claim this as a home do.

  9. wicket

WICKET Nash c Wheater b Beard 28published at 14:28 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 126-3 v Essex

A third wicket for Essex - and a first bowling point - as Chris Nash is caught behind for 28.

Nash went hard at a loose, leg-side delivery from Aaron Beard and gloved it into the hands of keeper Adam Wheater.

That makes it the second 'c Wheater b Beard' dismissal of the day.

Joe Clarke is the new man at the crease, joining Steven Mullaney, who has batted since the start and is now on 70.

    Yorkshire 169-1 v Surrey

North Marine Road ground, ScarboroughImage source, Rex Features

Good fortune for Gary Ballance at Scarborough where an uppish square cut flies away for four.

The left-hander is far more in control in the next over as he flicks Sam Curran to the leg-side boundary to move to 19 not out and post a half-century partnership with Will Fraine, who is on 78.

WICKET Hameed c Bancroft b Raine 24published at 14:20 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

A third wicket for Durham - and second since lunch - as last week's matchwinner Ban Raine gets his first scalp in this game.

Haseeb Hameed edges to Cameron Bancroft at second slip for 24.

  12. Division Two updatepublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

Derbyshire openers Billy Godleman and Luis Reece continue to enjoy themselves against Middlesex, with the score 146-0 in the 36th over. Godleman now has 88 not out and Reece is on 57.

Marnus Labuschagne has started his innings well for leaders Glamorgan against Worcestershire, with five fours already in his unbeaten 29. the home side are 117-1 in the 37th, with Nick Selman on 46.

Sussex's Ollie Robinson has taken two wickets since lunch, removing Rob Keogh and Luke Procter, and Northants have slumped to 108-6 after 38 overs. Robinson has figures of 4-27.

Lancashire are 77-2 in the 35th over at Sedbergh School following the loss of Alex Davies immediately after lunch. Haseeb Hameed is 24 not out and new batsman Liam Livingstone has two.

WICKET Crawley lbw b Rhodes 72published at 14:00 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Kent 132-1 v Warwickshire

The good news for Warwickshire is that they have finally made a breakthrough in the 37th over at Canterbury.

A rare wicket for part time bowler Will Rhodes, who traps Zak Crawley in front - his first Championship wicket of the season.

The bad news is that the next man in is England's Joe Denly.

  14. Somerset pair share 100 standpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Somerset 121-1 v Hampshire

Assuming you don't have a ticket for England v India at Edgbaston, there can surely be few things more pleasant than watching an in-form James Hildreth bat on a warm summer's afternoon.

The right-hander cover drives Kyle Abbott for four and then clips the next delivery through mid-wicket for another boundary.

Perfect timing for both and there's another four through the leg-side later in the over as Hildreth advances to 72 not out and posts a century partnership with Tom Abell.

Half century for Sean Dicksonpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Kent 127-0

Sean Dickson also gets to his half century at Canterbury - the fourth time has got there this season. And twice before he has gone on to get a ton.

It comes almost an hour and a half after opening partner Zak Crawley had got there.

But, although he has been outscored (Crawley is on 72), admittedly there was a 40-minute in between too.

    Notts 101-2 v Essex

Steve Mullaney getting himself settled again after lunch, on 58. And it's Chris Nash who brings the Notts hundred up in the 32nd over.

  17. Positive start by Yorkshirepublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 142-1 v Surrey

Contrasting boundaries by Will Fraine as Sam Curran picks up the attack for Surrey.

The first is struck straight and true past the bowler, the second is edged uncertainly wide of the slips as Curran finds a bit of late movement through the air.

Morne Morkel sends down a no-ball at the start of the next and his pain is made worse by Gary Ballance stroking it away for four.

  18. Somerset reach three figurespublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Somerset 104-1 v Hampshire

Somerset's total reaches 100, courtesy of a James Fuller wide in the first over after lunch at Taunton.

The over ends with a boundary to James Hildreth, driven sublimely through the covers with the minimum of fuss. He now has 55 and Tom Abell is on 31.

  19. wicket

WICKET Davies c Eckersley b Carse 38published at 13:44 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Lancashire 72-2 v Durham

A wicket immediately after the restart for Durham at Sedbergh as Brydon Carse finds a horrible short-pitched delivery to have Alex Davies caught behind for 38, with just one added to the score.

Haseeb Hameed remains unbeaten on 21.

New man in is Liam Livingstone.
