    Yorkshire 92-0 v Surrey

    Adam LythImage source, Rex Features

Adam Lyth reaches a 61-ball half-century with a single off Gareth Batty.

A highlight in the last over saw Will Fraine moonwalk backwards away from the crease after pulling a wide ball by Jordan Clark away through mid-wicket for four.

Fraine is 38 not out, having been dropped on 31 by Dean Elgar at gully. Bet that didn't do a lot for Clark's mood.

  3. Solid start by Glamorganpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Glamorgan 51-0 v Worcestershire

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

It’s been a solid if unspectacular start from Glamorgan openers Nick Selman and Owen Morgan as they put together a half-century stand after being asked to bat by Worcestershire.

Joe Leach was particularly economical, conceding just 11 runs in seven overs, as Selman edged a few early on without offering a chance.

Morgan is opening at first-team level for the first time in two years instead of Charlie Hemphrey, who is on paternity duty.

Both sides are without South African fast bowlers. Marchant de Lange is rested for Glamorgan, while Worcestershire’s Wayne Parnell has a minor injury.

With dry weather forecast on all four days, Glamorgan will not be worried by a slow run-rate.

  4. 50 runs

50 up for Lancs at Sedberghpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Lancashire 55-1 v Durham

Lancashire are making steady progress at Sedbergh School

Alex Davies (28) and Haseeb Hameed (15) are repairing the damage following the early loss of Keaton Jennings.

  5. Kent plough on at Canterburypublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Kent 81-0 v Warwickshire

Jeetan Patel has used five bowlers so far at Canterbury, including his two Bears loan debutants, Ben Mike and James Wainman,

Now, after 20 overs, and with Zak Crawley (41) and Sean Dickson (34) well set, he turns to himself.

Patel has 44 Championship wickets this season, comfortably the Bears' top man. But he is plundered for a 10th boundary of the morning by Dickson off only his second ball. It is the only scoring shot of the over though.

Matt Lamb is on at the other end, while Will Rhodes has bowled five overs and Lancashire loan man Toby Lester bowled the first six, for 18,

  6. Clark loses tight linepublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 67-0 v Surrey

Morne Morkel and Jordan ClarkImage source, Getty Images

Jordan Clark is pretty cross with himself after straying onto Adam Lyth's pads and seeing the left-hander flick the ball away fine for four.

He looks to the skies again later in the over as Will Fraine cracks a wide delivery away for another boundary.

Runs now coming at a decent pace for Yorkshire after being tied down at the start by Morne Morkel, who's opening six-over spell only cost nine runs.

  7. wicket

WICKET Slater c Wheater b Beard 14published at 12:16 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 71-2 v Essex

Ben Slater goes after an hour-long struggle at the crease.

He scored only 14 runs out of a 58-run stand with his skipper Steven Mullaney and never really looked in touch.

A little bit of away movement from Adam Beard does enough to find his edge, to have him caught behind.

    New man is Chris Nash.

  8. 50 runs

50 up for Notts against Essexpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 63-1 v Essex

Notts skipper Steven Mullaney has suddenly taken the attack to Essex.

After bringing up the half century, he plunders a six into the Fox Road Stand, pulling a short ball off Jamie Porter.

After just one over of spin from Harmer, to allow Porter to change ends, the paceman has made an unsuccessful return to the attack.

He then offers a sharp chance over head height to Nick Browne at point off the last ball .

4-6-4-1 and a missed chance. An eventful over.

  9. Division Two updatepublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

Derbyshire are motoring along against Middlesex, with Billy Godleman 49 not out in their score of 74-0 after 14 overs.

Leaders Glamorgan have set off at a more sedate pace at Cardiff, but their openers are also still together and they are 36-0 in the 15th over against Worcestershire.

Ollie Robinson has picked up his second wicket against Northants at Hove, having Rob Newton caught behind for 14, and the visitors are 49-2 in the 16th.

At Sedbergh School, Lancashire are 39-1 in the 13th, with Alex Davies 25 not out and Haseeb Hameed on two.

  10. First changes at Trent Bridgepublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 45-1 v Essex

Jamie Porter, Essex's matchwinner last week, took a breather after just fiver overs.

Aaron Beard came on for him and has so far gone for eight runs off his two overs, one of which was a maiden. And Essex have also quickly turned to spin, by bringing on Simon Harmer.

And Harmer went for nine off his first over, as home skipper Steve Mullaney plundered two boundaries.

  11. Hildreth punishes wayward Hantspublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Somerset 46-1 v Hampshire

When will the Hampshire bowlers learn.

After seeing James Hildreth punish wide balls from Keith Barker, where does James Fuller direct his first two after being brought into the attack by Hampshire skipper Sam Northeast?

You guessed correctly - and both resulted in boundaries.

Lyth gains momentumpublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 50-0 v Surrey

Wow - great timing by Adam Lyth.

After flicking Rikki Clarke away square for four in his opening over, he repeats the stroke from the next delivery, but this time clears the rope for a maximum - and that brings up a 50 partnership with Will Fraine.

Good start by Yorkshire at Sacrborough.

  13. Costly over from Curranpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 39-0 Surrey

About time for Sam Curran to take a break at Scarborough?

His sixth over costs the England left-armer 12 runs, including a powerful square cut for four by Adam Lyth.

The left-hander is 15 not out, with partner Will Fraine on 22.

50 up for Kent at Canterburypublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Kent 50-0 v Warwickshire

Toby Lester and Will Rhodes have put the brakes on a little at Canterbury.

Two successive maidens from Rhodes, either side of one from Lester.

But Zak Crawley hits his fifth boundary of the morning off Lester to bring up the Kent 50 in only the 13th over.

Can't be too long before Bears skipper Jeetan Patel brings himself on.

WICKET Jennings b Rushworth 11published at 11:50 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Lancashire 24-1 v Durham

Durham old boy Keaton Jennings becomes the first first-class victim at Sedbergh School.

The England Test opener is bowled by his former team-mate Chris Rushworth.

New man is another England Test opener, Haseeb Hameed.

At the other end, Alex Davies is still going well.

  16. Somerset pair look to build standpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Somerset 35-1 v Hampshire

    James HildrethImage source, Getty

Having already been put away square by James Hildreth for four, Keith Barker fails to heed the lesson and the final delivery of his latest over disappears in the same direction.

Hildreth is nine not out, with Tom Abell, who drove pleasantly through mid-off for four in Kyle Abbott's last over, is on 11.

  17. Notts progress after early wicketpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Notts 28-1 v Essex

No further loss of wicket at Trent Bridge despite Jamie Porter looking very threatening at Trent Bridge.

Notts skipper Steven Mullaney is now into double figures as the hosts counter after the early loss of Ben Duckett.

But definitely more for Essex skipper Ryan ten Doeschate to be satisfied about so far - on his 39th birthday!

  18. Fraine gets Yorkshire movingpublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Yorkshire 18-0 v Surrey

Adam Lyth is still being pinned down by Morne Morkel at Scarborough.

Fortunately for Yorkshire, Will Fraine is keeping the scoreboard moving and two back-foot boundaries off Sam Curran through the off-side take him to 16 not out.

  19. First change at Canterburypublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

    Kent 43-0 v Warwickshire

Kent taking full advantage of Warwickshire's injuries at Canterbury.

Zak Crawley and Sean Dickson both going well already.

And Bears loan man Ben Mike is already out of the attack, after shipping 22 from his first three overs.

Will Rhodes has come on to replace him, but he goes for six off his first over.

The Division One leaders lose their first wicket as Azhar Ali plays right across the line to a full-length delivery from Kyle Abbott and is leg-before. Not the greatest piece of shot selection. James Hildreth is the new Somerset batsman.
