Plaudits today for Dom Sibley and Marnus Labuschagne, who both passed the 1,000-run landmark - the Warwickshire opener in first-class cricket and Glamorgan's Australian import in Championship games only.
There was also good pre-Ashes news for England with centuries by Dawid Malan and Mark Stoneman, while Sibley's partner Will Rhodes, Essex's Ravi Bopara and Brett D'Oliveira of Worcestershire also reached three figures.
There were two '10-fers' at Hove for Ben Sanderson and Ollie Robinson, but it was the Northamptonshire seamer who was smiling at the end as his side beat Susses by 393 runs to achieve their first win of the season.
We have intriguing final days in prospect in Division One tomorrow at Taunton, Trent Bridge, Scarborough and Sedbergh School - where Jimmy Anderson will play no further part because of injury, plus three other games to play to a finish. We'll be back from 10:30. See you then.
