  1. Surrey look to new ballpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Yorkshire 327 & 210-4 v Surrey 362

Surrey are trying to hurry the game on towards the new ball in Scarborough, with Grant Batty and Ryan Patel operating in tandem.

Jonny Tattersall cuts Batty away for four in the latest over and is 20 not out, with Tom Kohler-Cadmore on 40.

Yorkshire's lead is 175 and there are five more to come before the new cherry is available.

  2. Postpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

A quick update from Bristol where Gloucestershire are 169-2 in the 25th over, chasing a target of 354 to beat Australia A. James Bracey is 68 not out and Iain Cockbain has 41.

Earlier, Will Pucovski (137) and Travis Head (138) shared a second-wicket stand of 267 for the tourists in their 353-3.

  3. wicket

WICKET Bartlett c sub b Crane 33published at 16:36 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Somerset 408 & 260-4 v Hampshire 349

Let's hope that will give Mason Crane's confidence a lift.

After pulling a long hop for four, George Bartlett comes down the track but slices to cover where sub fielder Calvin Harrison takes a good catch.

Tom Banton remains on 64 not out as he is joined by Steven Davies.

  4. 150 runs

150 for Dom Sibleypublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Kent 585-7 dec, Warwickshire 338-2

Warwickshire's Dom Sibley is not only past 150, but heading on towards 200.

He is now on 167, from 348 balls - and has the chance to post a few more significant milestones too.

You'd have to wonder when the England selectors are going to sit up and take some notice of him.

  5. Division Two round-uppublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

Following Northamptonshire's 393-run win at Hove, we have three games remaining in the second tier.

Leaders Glamorgan are 23-1 in their second innings against Worcestershire, a lead of 102, after Owen Morgan was caught behind off Joe Leach.

Dawid Malan has progressed to 132 for Middlesex at Derby and has so far added 72 with John Simpson, but they are still 235 behind.

It is still tea at Sedbergh School, where Lancashire are struggling on 108-5 in their second innings, but leading Durham by 164.

  6. Somerset look to stretch leadpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Somerset 408 & 252-3 v Hampshire 349

You would imagine Somerset are looking to insert Hampshire for a few testing overs at the end of the day's play. The onus therefore is on their batsmen to get the scoreboard moving.

Another 100 runs and the Division One leaders will be almost 400 ahead and George Bartlett hammers Mason Crane for six at the start of the spinner's second over after tea. The next ball is a half-tracker and he pulls it away for four to take the total past 350.

  7. Surrey press for wicketspublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Yorkshire 327 & 193-4 v Surrey 362

What should be a fascinating final session is under way at Scarborough and Jonny Tattersall collects an early boundary off Sam Curran.

Yorkshire are 158 ahead and the new ball is 13 overs away.

If Surrey 'win' this session, they may well go on to win the match.

  8. Tea at Sedberghpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Lancashire 337 & 108-5, Durham 281

A timely 49-run stand between skipper Dane Vilas (27) and former Lancashire captain Steven Croft (20) at Sedbergh School.

Lancashire were only 115 ahead when they came together after Rob Jones' foolish run-out.

But that lead is now up to 164. And, although Lancs will not have the injured Jimmy Anderson to bowl in the second innings, Durham will not be wanting to chase many more than 200 to win.

  9. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Somerset 408 & 236-3 v Hampshire 349

    Tom BantonImage source, Rex Features

Tom Banton drills James Fuller's penultimate delivery before tea down the ground for four and they lead by 295 with seven wickets remaining.

Banton progresses to 58 not out, and partner George Bartlett has 15.

Both Fuller and Mason Crane have been expensive, but the question for Somerset now is how big a lead do they want before putting Hampshire in.

Keith Barker has been the pick of the Hampshire attack with 2-38 from 12 overs.

  11. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Notts 213 & 25-2, Essex 519-9 dec

Nottinghamshire have a mountain to climb if they are to avoid their fifth Division One defeat of the season.

With a minimum of 46 overs remaining on day three, Notts started badly when skipper Steven Mullaney shouldered arms to a Jamie Porter inswinger to his 10th ball and was bowled for a duck.

Chris Nash followed, given out leg before wicket to Peter Siddle for 13.

Ben Slater (8) and Joe Clarke (4) have both already struck a boundary - and they will need a fair few more for Notts to avoid Essex claiming a fifth win in six games.

    Breaking

    Northants 273 & 331 v Sussex 106 & 105

All over at Hove where Northants complete their first win of the season by an emphatic margin.

Ben Sanderson produces a beauty to clip the top of Aaron Thomason's off stump and his 4-18 gives him career-best match figures of 10-55.

Sussex fail to even match their first-innings total - and lost 20 wickets in the game in just 78.4 overs and only take three points from the match, with Northants claiming 21.

Head coach Jason Gillespie may have a few home truths for his players before their next Championship game, against Lancashire at Old Trafford, starting on 13 July.

  13. wicket

WICKET Robinson c Rossington b Hutton 0published at 15:54 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Northants 273 & 331 v Sussex 106 & 101-9

Ollie Robinson took 10 wickets in this game but he's going to end it on the losing side.

Just one wicket needed now by Northants after Robinson edges to second slip, who juggles with the ball before it slips from his grasp and is grabbed by keeper Adam Rossington.

  14. wicket

WICKET Brown c Keogh b Sanderson 46published at 15:50 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Northants 273 & 331 v Sussex 106 & 101-8

Sussex are going, going, almost gone at Hove.

It's been another dismal batting performance and skipper Ben Brown is the latest to go, vaught superbly in the gully by Rob Keogh off Ben Sanderson, who now has three wickets in the innings and nine in the game.

Aaron Thomason and Ollie Robinson are the not out batsmen, but it's surely now a question of when and not if Northants register their first Championship win of the season.

  15. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Kent 595-7 dec, Warwickshire 312-2

Dom Sibley reaches the tea interval on 149, his highest score for Warwickshire- and his best since his debut season in 2013, when he rattled up 242 in only his third match against Yorkshire.

With Sam Hain offering good support on 30, the Bears need only 124 more to avoid the threat of being asked to follow on.

  16. Tea at Scarboroughpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Yorkshire 327 & 185-4 v Surrey 362

Sensible batting by Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Jonny Tattersall sees Yorkshire through to tea with a lead of exactly 150.

The home side were rocking when Adam Lyth and Jack Leaning fell to Rikki Clarke, but Kohler Cadmore has made an unbeaten 31 from 48 balls so far, including a six off Gareth Batty.

Surrey, though, will be fancying their chances of a win here if they knock a few more over after tea.

  17. WICKET D'Oliveira c and b Hogan 103published at 15:43 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Glamorgan 449 v Worcestsrshire 370

Four balls after reaching his century Brett D'Oliveira gives a simple return catch to Michael Hogan and the Worcestershire first innings comes to an end.

Australian pace bowler Hogan finishes with 5-62 - the perfect way to celebrate his new contract with the Welsh club.

D'Oliveira's dismissal means it is tea, and with only four sessions left in the game, Division Two leaders Glamorgan need to produce something special to force a win out of this game.

  18. wicket

WICKET Nash lbw b Siddle 13published at 15:40 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Notts 213 & 13-2, Essex 519-9 dec

Essex take their second wicket as Peter Siddle traps Chris Nash in front.

Notts are in a fine mess again here.

New man in Joe Clarke. Both he and Notts need a big innings.

for Brett D'Oliveirapublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Glamorgan 449 v Worcestershire 370-9

    Brett D'OliveiraImage source, Rex Features

What an innings by Brett D'Oliveira. He drives Michael Hogan for four to reach his first Championship century since 2017 off 154 balls - and it follows his career-best 7-92 with the ball in Glamorgan's first innings.

When D'Oliveira went in, the visitors were 234-7, but now they are only 75 behind thanks to an unbroken last-wicket stand of 68 with Adam Finch, whose contribution so far is five not out from 49 balls.

  20. What a blinder by Stuart Broadpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Notts 213 & 13-1, Essex 519-9 dec

    Michael Perkins
    BBC Sport at Trent Bridge

The Notts innings came to an end with as inconsequential a blinder of a catch as you're ever likely to see from Stuart Broad - every bit as good as Ben Stokes or Sheldon Cottrell from the World Cup.

Broad dived to his right on the deep midwicket boundary to dismiss Ravi Bopara. It bodes well for the Ashes.
