  1. wicket

WICKET Stevens c Ball b Coughlin 88published at 16:42 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Notts v Kent 304

    It's all over!

Darren Stevens backs away to leg, trying to force a Paul Coughlin ball through the covers...

Caught in the deep by Jake Ball.

A fine effort from Stevens and Kent have a competitive score.

    12 overs left tonight.

  2. Pope offers salvation for Surreypublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Sur 51-4

England batsmen Ollie Pope and Ben Foakes both appear to be on an off-stump guard against left-arm seamer Keith Barker, who is trying his luck from round the wicket. It's an intriguing contest, Surrey 98 behind now with six wickets left.

  3. wicket

WICKET Lyth c Davies b Davey 21published at 16:36 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Somerset 199 v Yorks 27-2

Remember that 'bang, bang' start I mentioned earlier? It applies to the bowlers now.

Adam Lyth is stuck on the crease and squared up by Josh Davey.

    Another catch for the keeper.

Gary Ballance joins Tom Kohler-Cadmore in the middle.

    Still 15 overs left tonight.

  4. Kent battle to 300published at 16:35 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Notts v Kent 300-8

Matt Milnes picks up one off the last ball of Coughlin's over and that's the 300.

That also means the new ball is due. Not taken just yet.

    Ashwin will bowl for now.

  5. Bears plough on against leaderspublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    War 220-3

Essex have Ravi Bopara whirling away with his gentle medium pacers. The former England batsman took 2-28 the other night in the T20, then played that exceptional innings with the bat to see his side to Finals Day.

No luck in his first four overs here though, 0-13, despite former England skipper Alastair Cook providing encouragement as always in his dark glasses at first slip.

  6. wicket

WICKET Fraine c Davies b Gregory 6published at 16:32 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Somerset 199 v Yorks 27-1

    Superb ball from Lewis Gregory!

Will Fraine is squared up on the back foot as he edges to the keepr.

    Much-needed breakthrough for Somerset.

  7. wicket

WICKET Podmore c Duckett b Coughlin 11published at 16:31 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Notts v Kent 299-8

Lovely shot from Harry Podmore, driving Ravi Ashwin square for four runs.

One more off the last ball... And that's out! Edged and caught behind.

Sharp slip catch from Ben Duckett, diving to his right off Paul Coughlin.

  8. Essex toil in the sunpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    War 216-3

Lovely footwork from Matthew Lamb as he drives Simon Harmer for his seventh boundary to extend the fourth-wicket partnership with Sam Hain to 76. Just the one bonus point for leaders Essex and they are in need of a wicket in the late afternoon Birmingham sunshine.

  9. 6 runs

Adam Lyth lives dangerouslypublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Somerset 199 v Yorks 25-0

A top-edged pull for Adam Lyth off Josh Davey...

It just clears fine leg for six!

Six more! This time over square leg and right out of the meat of the bat.

That's in the car park. Time for a new ball.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Smith c Dawson b Barker 2 (Sur 43-4)

Another one down at the Ageas, it's not the pitch, it's a poor shot. What Sir Geoffrey would say I dare not speculate. No foot movement from Jamie Smith and the loose drive is snaffled at second slip to give former footballer Keith Barker a second wicket.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Hainpublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    War 206-3

Sam Hain looks in fine fettle for Warwickshire, as you would expect from a man averaging 49. He completes fifty against leaders Essex in fortuitous fashion, however, with a thick edge for four off Ravi Bopara for his eighth boundary. It's his second half century of the season, to add to his two centuries.

  12. wicket

WICKET Rayner c Moores b Coughlin 26published at 16:22 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Notts v Kent 279-8

    Classic dismissal.

Ollie Rayner is drawn into a loose drive outside the off stump by Paul Coughlin and edges to the keeper.

That ends a handy stand of 44. Over to you, Harry Podmore.

  13. Bright start for Yorkshirepublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Somerset 199 v Yorks 12-0

Bang, bang from Adam Lyth - who drives Lewis Gregory through mid off for a couple of fours in the over.

Will Fraine picks up four more through mid-wicket against Josh Davey at the other end.

  14. Final session set to start at Hampshirepublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Sur 40-3

The umpires emerge for the final session at the Ageas Bowl, where Surrey are 109 behind Hampshire with seven wickets intact.

There should still be time at stumps for anyone wishing to make the short journey across to St Mary's for tonight's England Euro 2020 qualifier with Kosovo at 19:45 BST - although with the roads in Southampton as they are, walking might be the best bet. In addition to the usual roadworks and congestion, there has been a vehicle fire at Junction 5 on the M27 and there are long delays westbound.

  15. wicket

    WICKET O'Riordan c Mullaney b Patterson-White 12published at 16:14 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Notts v Kent 235-7

Marcus O'Riordan is lured into a loose drive off Liam Patterson-White and edges to Steven Mullaney in the slips.

Can Darren Stevens guide Kent to their next batting point?

Ollie Rayner is the new batsman.

  16. Five-wicket haul for Maharajpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Somerset 199 v Yorks

Hats off to the South Africa and Yorkshire slow left-armer.

He finishes with 5-54 off 23.5 overs.

21 overs for Yorkshire to bat tonight.

  17. wicket

WICKET Davey lbw b Maharaj 0published at 16:05 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Somerset 199 v Yorks

It's all ended in a hurry for Somerset.

Two balls after Tom Abell is pinned lbw by Keshav Maharaj with a ball that loops up and drifts into him, Josh Davey suffers exactly the same fate.

Jamie Overton is left high and dry on 40 and Yorkshire have deny the hosts a batting point.

  18. wicket

WICKET Abell lbw b Maharaj 66published at 16:01 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Somerset 199-9 v Yorks

    Oh no...

  19. Intervalpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Sur 40-3

Finally we reach tea at the Ageas Bowl and Surrey will hope for a few more from the prolific Ollie Pope, who is on 16 from 26 balls at the break, his team 109 runs behind.

  20. 50 runs

50 for Darren Stevenspublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 10 September 2019

    Notts v Kent 224-6

Darren Steven plays the ball right under his nose, driving Fletcher off the back foot for two.

    That's a very valuable 50.
