    Kent 129-9 v Hampshire

Ollie Rayner top edges an attempted pull shot off Fidel Edwards and is already in the process of walking off before the catch is taken by Felix Organ at long leg.

It's a disappointing end to what was a good, fighting innings for his side - Rayner and Daniel Bell-Drummond (also 39) are the only batsmen to reach 20 in this innings.

  2. wicket

WICKET Lees lbw Hogan 45published at 14:42 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Durham 95-3 v Glamorgan

There's the first bowling point for Glamorgan.

Michael Hogan gets the ball to nip in off the seam, striking Alex Lees on the pad.

The Durham opener offers no shot and the umpire raises his finger...

  3. Glamorgan press for first bowling pointpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Durham 95-2 v Glamorgan

Four runs to Watling off a thick outside edge with a drive to point brins up the 50 partnership with Lees.

    Yorkshire 203-1 v Warwickshire

Yorkshire motor on past 200, and collect their first batting point, as Tom Kohler-Cadmore pounds a short delivery from Craig Miles away square for four.

He is 131 not out, Tom Loten has 39 and that have so far added 126 for the second wicket.

  5. Runs flow as Surrey pass 200published at 14:37 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Surrey 205-2 v Notts

    Blatherwick is struggling here.

A no-ball in his fifth over is driven through cover by Pope for four to take Surrey to 197.

    Another no-ball.

A clip through leg brings up the Surrey 200 and four more runs come to Pope with a drive through point.

    Surrey 185-2 v Notts

Jake Ball is out of the attack now and Jack Blatherwick is having a bowl.

His first ball drifts to leg and that's an easy four to fine leg for Ollie Pope - who moves on to 50.

77 balls and six fours. Four more off a drive to extra cover.

By the way - at the other end Scott Borthwick (80*) has gone past 9000 first-class runs in his innings, reaching the milestone when he'd made 41.

A cut to a vacant third man brings four to Watling.

  9. for Keith Barkerpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Kent 111-8 v Hampshire

How to describe the shot played by Kent's Harry Podmore - 'optimistic' and 'agricultural' are a couple of words that spring to mind.

Anyway, the result was that he was bowled off the edge by Keith Barker, who has now taken five or more wickets in a first-class innings on 15 occasions - but this is the first time he has done so for Hampshire.

  10. Surrey in charge at the Ovalpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Surrey 171-2 v Notts

Steven Mullaney is settling into a good length here with the ball not quite getting to the batsman for the drive.

Kohler-Cadmore progresses to 116 not out and his debutant partner is on 32 after clipping Jeetan Patel away for four in the previous over.

    The floodlights are now on.

  12. Play resumes at Riversidepublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Durham 75-2 v Glamorgan

Alex Lees and BJ Watling are back in the middle for the hosts.

Timm van der Gugten will bowl.

Glamorgan need to win here and hope for Gloucester to lose at Bristol to go up to the First Division.

It's raining at Bristol and we have hazy sunshine forecast here.

    Early wickets needed.

  13. Frustrating day for Glamorganpublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Durham 75-2 v Glamorgan

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

It’s been a day of frustration for Glamorgan’s promotion hopes at Chester-le-Street as their seamers failed to put Durham under quite enough pressure following a delayed start.

Water seeped through the covers onto the square, meaning a 90 minute delay despite the sunshine.

Alex Lees batted through the first session on 42 not out without too much trouble, despite losing Cameron Steel lbw to Michael Hogan for one and Angus Robson nicking Lukas Carey to slip for seven.

The pitch is at one end of the square, leaving a very short boundary towards the Castle stand and a huge expanse towards the dressing-rooms.

  14. Notts turn to Mullaney and frustration growspublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Surrey 163-2 v Notts

Scott Borthwick is blocking off the back foot safely to cover point.

Shot! A clip to mid-wicket off a half volley brings four and takes Borthwick into the 70s.

At the other end Pope (on 38 not out) is down the track to Carter... and that's a missed stumping!

Four byes. More frustration for Notts.

  16. Notts frustrated by Borthwick and Popepublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Surrey 154-2 v Notts

Matt Carter is bowling round the wicket to Scott Borthwick - who glances to leg but there's no run.

A shorter ball is cut in front of square for two.

  17. Durham to resume on 75-2 in crunch game for Glamorganpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Durham 75-2 v Glamorgan

A reminder that this game was delayed today because of a wet pitch - hence the later lunch interval.

Glamorgan will have hoped to make more inroads into Durham's batting but at least they hold a weather advantage over promotion rivals Northants and Gloucestershire - who have been off the field since just after 1310 BST at Bristol because of rain.

    Surrey 150-2 v Notts

Ollie Pope clips Matt Carter in front of square on the leg side and that's the Surrey 150 in the 40th over.

Hard to see where the third wicket is going to come from so far this afternoon.

WICKET Stevens lbw Barker 17published at 13:51 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

    Kent 87-7 v Hampshire

They are back out in the middle at Canterbury following a rain hold-up and Keith Barker has his fourth wicket of the day, with Darren Stevens leg-before.

  20. Division Two updatepublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 23 September 2019

Away from Bristol and the Riverside, here's the latest in our Division Two games:

Lancashire chose to bowl first at Grace Road and they've taken early Leicestershire wickets.

Harry Swindells was the last player dismissed - bowled by Richard Gleeson without scoring.

Gleeson has five wickets and hosts are wobbling on 98-6.

Middlesex are 98-2 at home against Derbyshire.

Nick Gubbins was caught behind off Luis Reece for a duck.

Max Holden was caught by Wayne Madsen off the bowling of Sam Conners for 19.

Rain delayed play at Hove between Sussex and Worcestershire - where only seven balls were bowled beforehand.

But that was enough to dislodge Luke Wells - who was caught behind off Ed Barnard for a duck.

Sussex have resumed batting now and have recovered to 105-3 - with Stiaan van Zyl unbeaten on 54.
