Here's the - not great - lbw review against Joe Root.
Root 10, Sibley 18
Joe Root needs a hair cut.
And thus ends my analysis of this over.

These are nervy times for England.

England are making it look like Chase is bowling grenades.
He doesn't seem to be.
Joe Root steps back to a full, spinning delivery from Roston Chase and almost nicks it through to Shane Dowrich, before a wide gift of a ball is hammered away for three.

Nick Hall: Hi, I’m looking for the number for Joe Denly, I think I left it in my hotel room in Southampton. Thanks, Ed Smith.

That certainly wasn't where Root was aiming.
Four!
Wide, flashed at by Joe Root, and he rides the bounce well enough to hustle the ball through backward point. I don't think it's where he was aiming - there's a fielder that almost cartwheels over the ball in an attempt to stop it - but it's four nonetheless.
Jason Holder and Roston Chase are STILL having a barney.

Arjun Singh: Absolutely spitting feathers after that second wicket to Chase. Why, oh why, do England just love giving him such cheap gifts? Just unbelievable how we can throw away such a promising start.

Chase is bowling with seven men on the leg side to Sibley. Of the two men on the off side, one is a slip.
Sibley 16, Root 1
Joe Root is off the mark with a horrible hoick across the line, and the resulting sweep shot somehow manages to get the ball through the field.
It's turning, you know. Dom Sibley is surprised by one that fizzes just past his bat and gloves, the ball looping beyond Jason Holder at leg slip, before Holder and Roston Chase have a little row about what fielder goes where.
How do you NOT see the tallest man on the pitch?!

All the work Joe Root will have done in the nets to prepare himself will have been against seam.
Oh, that's a beaut from Kemar Roach, tickling the edge of Dom Sibley's bat as he comes shuffling forward.
Sibley pings the ball off his pads for a couple of easy runs. Meanwhile, on the other side of the room to me, Matt Henry is chuntering about the "myth" of the big four batsmen. I've missed him.

David Beckett: No pressure, Joe.

They are two very dopey wickets for England to lose.
Firstly Burns plays for Muralitharan levels of turn when he knows Chase barely gets it off the straight. Then Crawley gives leg slip catching practice, surprised to see the 7ft figure of Jason Holder peering over his shoulder.
Bring back Joe Denly.
Another lbw shout for Roston Chase, this time as Dom Sibley gets his front pad rattled, but that was sliding down the leg side.
Sibley scrambles a single before Joe Root, still waiting to score, plonks away the final ball of the over.
Ah, it's nice to be back.

Tom: Welcome back Joe and congratulations on the baby. Rather than having a whip round to get you something nice we thought we’d give you a hat-trick ball to face. Great to have you back, kind regards The England Top Order.
