Sam Curran and Chris Woakes are marking their runs out. Ollie Robinson is bowling a few deliveries at Ben Foakes. I think that settles it.

Sam Curran could possibly be the best number 10 in England's Test history?

Dom Bess will be hoping that Sam Curran gets the nod. If you look at the England batting line-up this week, Stuart Broad is going to be at 11. The batting is packed. Sam Curran could quite easily be coming in at 10 which is ridiculous. The batting is stronger this week but that's why they lost the game at Southampton.

I was really impressed with how quick Zak Crawley was on his feet last week - it's a lesson that Dom Sibley could learn. He wouldn't be used to starting against spin but he looked really good and really controlled. That's the first time I've looked at him and thought 'he looks a really good player'. He's got the shots to take the attack to the opposition.

They've given Joe Denly a fair go. Sam Robson and Adam Lyth for example might have only got six or seven Tests and they got hundreds.

We will soon get full confirmation at team news at the toss.

We already know Joe Denly has been dropped. It seems his England days are coming to an end.

    Carlos Brathwaite
West Indies all-rounder on BBC Test Match Special

John Campbell’s fitness may be a concern. He obviously batted to bring the game home. He was ok but he didn’t run good enough, to finish the game probably, but start a game I’d say he’d probably be out. That would open up a space for Joshua Da Silva or Shai Hope may go up to open.

Settle down. It looks like England's quick bowling attack will be Stuart Broad, Chris Woakes and Sam Curran.

They're all brilliant players, and maybe this is just me, but that line-up just doesn't get as excited as one with Archer or Wood - or both.

England have had their huddle, but no cap has been dished out to Ollie Robinson.

Stuart Broad was stomping round the boundary at Southampton, looking very miffed.

I'm expecting a big performance from him and I think he'll back his words up.

  12. Postpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 16 July 2020

It would be a big call not to play Chris Woakes.

It is brightening up - I can see a bit of blue sky out of our office window which is only a couple of Ben Stokes throws from Old Trafford - but it's still overcast.

Make of this what you will, but Ollie Robinson is bowling and Chris Woakes has his hands in his pockets.

Most of the England players are now out for a warm-up.

The talk is that West Indies will take the opposite approach to England and look to name the same team as last week.

The only doubt seems to be around opener John Campbell after he was hit on the toe by an Archer yorker in Southampton.

The one thing about this England side, remember when they went 1-0 down in South Africa with all the illnesses and most people thought that tour was over.

We're in a similar position here where everyone thinks the wheels are coming off, but they showed great courage and character to turn it around. They should use that, it is a good thing to build on.

Apart from the non-selection of Stuart Broad that was England's strongest team last week. But without James Anderson, Mark Wood, this is a great opportunity for West Indies.

In the middle, problems seem to centre around one patch on the run-up and another on the track. Club cricketers will be familiar with the approach of 'throw a couple of sheets on it and see if that clears it up'.
