It's that wobbly, scrambly seam again that Abbas has mastered. So close to finding the edge. Every ball is there or thereabouts.

Another smart drop and run from Ollie Pope begins this latest Mohammad Abbas over, and the first real danger moment of the morning follows as Abbas tickles the outside edge of Jos Buttler's bat.

Pope 47, Buttler 15
The first runs off the bat come courtesy of Ollie Pope, who pushes a speedy single to mid-off and gets home as the fielder's shy goes wide of the stumps.
After the frenetic energy of last night's session, this is a pleasingly sedate, and sensible, start to play.

Mohammad Abbas bowling at just over 70mph. You'll see that type of pace on a Saturday in league cricket but the great thing about Abbas is that he's relentless in line and length and hits the seam consistently.
A solid straight bat from Jos Buttler first up, patting away Mohammad Abbas' trundlers, and that'll be a maiden.
Mohammad Abbas, who did for Dom Sibley and Ben Stokes last night, will open up from the other end.
BBC Radio 5 Live
Just a heads-up that former England captain David Gower is a guest on the Adrian Chiles show on BBC Radio 5 Live later, at 11:35 BST. Gower will be looking back on his career and talking about the key ingredients needed for success.
Here's a picture from the archives of Gower using very different ingredients for success...
A bit of extra bounce from Shaheen Afridi surprises Ollie Pope but he gets plenty of bat on ball to defend it towards point.
A no ball from the tall paceman gets England going on the third day, but that's all this opening over costs.

The noise coming from the Pakistan fielders yesterday was like a classroom of naughty students who had been locked away for a couple of hours and then suddenly the teacher opens the door to the playground. They were full of enthusiasm.

Down the leg side, and ignored by Ollie Pope.
Ollie Pope taps his bat and stands, bat raised, as Shaheen steams in...
Shaheen Afridi, who bowled outrageously well yesterday evening, will get us going today.
He dismissed Rory Burns in the first over of England's reply.

Jos Buttler is picked an all-rounder for England. Ben Foakes is regarded as the best English wicketkeeper whereas Jos is picked as the package. But his mistakes recently, like the ones against West Indies, have been highlighted because England haven't always gone on to win the game.
England and Chris Silverwood need to decide. Do they want the best wicketkeeper? In which case it's Ben Foakes or Jonny Bairstow. But remember, Foakes has also shown he can bat and has the temperament for Test cricket.
I just feel at the moment Test cricket looks hard work for Jos Buttler.
Ollie Pope and Jos Buttler are making their way out to the middle, 46 and 15 to their respective names.
And here come the Pakistan fielders.

I've heard talk that England want to be the number one Test side in the world, but they're miles away. Tactically, they get it wrong often and there are question marks on some areas of the team.

Jambarrell: Stuart Broad needs 1,716 runs to become the first/only to take 500 wickets and score 5,000 runs in Tests. Fifty or more of those runs today would be nice.

This pitch is very dry. Against this outstanding attack, with so much variation in, England will have to overcome a lot of different challenges. But I did think Ollie Pope batted beautifully yesterday.
