Make that four more for Azhar Ali!

The Pakistan captain capitalises on a full, wide loosener, and scythes it away through cover.

You can hear the cry from Azhar Ali, he's off and away. In Broad's loosening over it was inevitable he'd get a ball to put away.

  3. Pak 24-1published at 9.2 overs

Well, Azhar Ali escapes a pair in lovely style, thrashing four through a tumbling James Anderson at mid-off and beating Jofra Archer to reach the boundary rope.

England cannot lose another session. If they have one more bad one, Pakistan are 1-0 up in the series.

Pakistan have been outstanding in this Test. That dropped catch from Stokes sums up England's performance. They just haven't been good enough.

Someone on Twitter made the point that Stokes pulls off great catches, but he's not a great catcher. Which is true, when you think about it.

You said that Stokes showed he was human by dropping the catch earlier but he's dropped at least three this summer. Think the occasional spectacular catches protect him from more scrutiny here.

Yes, I would like to be sat between Jimmy Anderson and Ben Stokes during the tea break to hear the conversation after this...

DGB: Is Joe Root too 'nice' as a captain? He looks really frustrated sometimes, but too reserved to lay down the law. I don't think there's any issue with the odd fall-out in the heat of a match.

  15. Pak 20-1published at 9 overs

Azhar Ali 0, Abid Ali 15

Shot! Abid Ali is on his toes and emphatically cuts James Anderson to the point boundary for four. Classy.

And that, ladies and gents, is tea. Pakistan lead by 127.

    Go whack that kettle on.

Stuart Broad with another maiden. He now has figures of 4-2-2-1

England will get one more in.

Azhar Ali will not want to go into the interval without scoring.

That was Root's catch. The slips have come up a little bit because of the lack of bounce, which means Stokes might have thought it was his catch.

  19. Pak 16-1published at 7 overs

And to make matters worse, Ali cuts a loose Anderson delivery for four more.

Some breaking news - the Women's 50-over World Cup, which was set for 2021, has been postponed by a year.

England will have to wait until 2022 to defend their title in New Zealand.

It also means that there will be three major events in 2022 for the women's game - two World Cups and the Commonwealth Games.
