Does Fawad Alam's stance remind me of anyone? You mean other than the crab himself, Chanderpaul?

Surely Peter Willey was the innovator of the bad stance?!

Currently arranging various pots and pans to catch the water drips coming through the roof after that downpour. Much like England's slip positionings the drips seem to get through the gaps continuously. Can't get the spacings right!!

17:36 BST 13 August 2020Bad news I'm afraid, folks.
The groundstaff are rolling out more covers and covering the bowlers' run-ups again.
We could be done for the day, I fear.

Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match SpecialFawad's stance you could say is a trigger movement. And it's a heck of a trigger movement. If he gets it wrong he's going to get in trouble. I haven't seen a stance like that for a while.

BBC Test Match SpecialIt seems like we're not going to get a resumption in the next few minutes. It must be pretty dark behind the hotel.

17:27 BST 13 August 2020Hmmm, I don't think we're getting a restart any time soon.
They've stopped the clear-up and the groundstaff and umpires are walking off again.
Postpublished at 17:26 British Summer Time 13 August 2020
17:26 BST 13 August 2020The clear-up is going pretty slowly. The covers covering the bowlers' run-up have been taken away but the ones that come out from the hover cover are still covering at least two or three pitches either side.
The umpires and the head groundsman are still in dialogue. There are very dark skies on the horizon.

Gary G Knightley: Fawid Alam's stance reminds me of Clayton Lambert from the 90s West Indies team. Mad stance.
T-Dogg: George Bailey's back to the bowler stance is weirder than anything else I've seen

Nearest I can get to that stance is Maddie Hinch. Works better for her, though.

I can see on the TV coverage that the groundstaff have started the clean-up process.

He's prodded at a few outside off stump but he's also looked high class at times.

BBC Sport at the Ageas BowlI just nipped back to my room from the TMS box and got a nasty shock at how grey it is looking out the back of the ground. It’s bleak.
