I'm a bit disappointed Ireland have taken out first slip now. There's a chance they could nick Eoin Morgan off early and have England in real trouble.

  2. Eng 44-2published at 8 overs

Eoin Morgan seems pretty intent on trying to change the momentum here.

He gets a step down the track and slices one through mid-wicket and mid-on for another boundary.

Here's one of his earlier ones...

Mark Burt: The ball is doing plenty. If England fail to post a decent target it’ll be good to see the bowlers under pressure.

You cannot drop short to Eoin Morgan. A tremendous shot but it was asking to be hit.

  5. Eng 39-2published at 7 overs

    Vince 15, Morgan 18

A poor over from Craig Young with 11 coming off it.

Eoin Morgan has raced to 18 off 15 balls with a delicious straight drive - that ricocheted off the stumps at the non-striker's end - before an empathetic pull.

Here's how Jonny Bairstow fell for just four.

An ugly, ugly heave from the England opener.

Ireland are just sending down that one four-ball per over, which is releasing the pressure on England.

  8. Eng 28-2published at 6 overs

Mark Adair, who surprisingly hasn't featured so far in the series, has looked good so far as he wobbles one past the edge of Eoin Morgan.

A cracking over is ruined by a poor final delivery which Morgan slaps through the covers for his second boundary.

Three games in and I’m still expecting a gasp or a groan when a batsman edges the ball. Instead, absolutely nothing.

If Ireland bowl anything even slightly wide then it will be attacked.

  11. Eng 24-2published at 5 overs

Streaky again from James Vince. One gets a little bit big on him and his back-foot drive again goes ariel but it goes down to the third-man fence for four more.

That's better, though, as he flicks through the on side for a couple.

Here's how Jason Roy fell for just one.

It's been a disappointing series for the Surrey man.

The Ireland players not in today’s squad are watching from their balconies. They liked that wicket a lot.

  14. Eng 18-2published at 4 overs

    Vince 8, Morgan 4

Eoin Morgan is off the mark but it's not the most convincing start from him either. A booming drive flies wide of the slip cordon and has enough to reach the boundary before third man can get round.

We're playing on a new pitch today and the England players have struggled with their timing so far today, which suggests the ball is getting stuck in the pitch a little bit.

Well done Ireland again - it's that brave length again, challenging the stumps.

    Bairstow b Adair 4 (Eng 14-2)

    Uh oh.

New-ball wickets have been a theme in this series and it's continuing in this game as Jonny Bairstow misses with a big heave and he's bowled by Mark Adair.

There's a little bit of movement in, but it's not the greatest shot from Bairstow.

Captain Eoin Morgan is coming in.

    Vintage Vince.

  19. Eng 14-1published at 3 overs

Classic James Vince as he absolutely crunches a drive for four. When he gets it right it's beautiful.

I'm looking forward to another two or three of them before he nicks off...

If you go at that ball, go at it hard like that. An early boundary should give James Vince some confidence.
