    Eskinazi lbw b Robinson 26 (Middlesex 130-5 - target 193 v Sussex)

Not done at Radlett by any stretch!

Ollie Robinson gets Middlesex captain Stevie Eskinazi lbw for his 250th wicket in first-class cricket.

The game is back in the balance. Middlesex require another 63, Sussex need five wickets.

  2. That's a recordpublished at 17:08 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Northamptonshire 332 v Glamorgan 259 and 201-8

    This is absolutely extraordinary!

Marchant de Lange has clubbed seven sixes and now has his career-best score of 91.

Dan Douthwaite has made 76 and they've put on 141 in less than 17 overs.

Suddenly Glamorgan lead by 128 and time is running out for Northamptonshire to chase the target tonight.

    Unbelievable turnaround!

  3. Arundel inspection at 17:30 BSTpublished at 17:08 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Hants v Essex 249-3 - rain delay

The mop up at Arundel is continuing at a pace and they'll take another look in 20 minutes. Maybe they can get another hour's cricket in this evening if the light holds?

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    White lbw b Haines 35 (Middlesex 130-4 - target 193 v Sussex)

Maybe the game isn't done at Radlett...

Tom Haines traps Robbie White lbw.

63 still required by Middlesex with six wickets in hand.

    Martin Emmerson

There is a really strange feeling about things in Chester-le-Street and it feels at times like being in an episode of Quantum Leap.

Among the things I didn't expect to see today was Stu Poynter bowling off-spin mid afternoon, given nobody has seen him bowl anything in a game before! He is, by trade, a wicketkeeper. And I suppose you could also call him an all-rounder now.

I am sure his arrival at the crease with ball in hand had the scorer's computer going into a tiz!

In the meantime Wayne Madsen has reached fifty for the 93rd time in his first-class career. It came in 105 balls with five fours.

For the record Poynter took 0-21 in four overs.

    Middlesex 129-3 (target 193) v Sussex

Middlesex are cruising to victory at Radlett now.

Robbie White and Stevie Eskinazi's fourth-wicket stand is worth 72 and 64 more are needed for victory.

for Madsenpublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Durham 337-9 dec v Derbyshire 203-1

Wayne Madsen becomes the third Derbyshire batsman to reach fifty in this innings. Luis Reece is on 87 with him.

North Group leaders Derbyshire are looking strong.

  8. rain stops play

Rain stops play at The Ovalpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Surrey 278 v Kent 342 and 118-9

Surrey only have one wicket to find with Kent 182 ahead but rain has returned to south London.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Roderick c Byrom b Davey 0 (Somerset v Gloucestershire 49-6, target 385)

    This is another stinker.

Gareth Roderick chips a leg stump half-volley straight to square leg.

People will be waxing lyrical about the Somerset attack again and yes, they're creating pressure, but not many genuine wicket-taking deliveries have brought dismissals in this third innings.

    And another wicket at Taunton!!!

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Davies lbw b Patterson 73 (Yorks 260 v Lancs 112-3)

    Alex Davies is gone!

Yorkshire skipper Steven Patterson pins the Lancashire opener lbw and he's on his way for a fine 73.

Yorkshire are right back in this Roses match.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Milnes lbw Curran 7 (Surrey 278 v Kent 342 and 114-9)

A third wicket for Sam Curran and Kent are almost done here.

Classic left-armer's dismissal, full and swinging in to strike Matt Milnes bang in front.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    van Buuren c Davies b Davey 15 (Somerset v Gloucestershire 49-5, target 385)

    Somerset are halfway there.

But this second innings batting from Gloucestershire continues to leave a lot to be desired.

A flailing drive from Graeme van Buuren outside off stump and he edges behind.

Not the stroke of man trying to battle to the close.

    Northamptonshire 332 v Glamorgan 259 and 161-8

An hour ago Northamptonshire were waltzing to a massive victory.

But once again they've been on the wrong end of some mighty lower-order swatting.

Marchant de Lange has made a 29-ball half-century!

He and Dan Douthwaite now have a record ninth-wicket stand for Glamorgan against Northamptonshire, going past a century in only 57 balls.

That's only one ball slower than the 10th wicket stand took to go into three-figures in the first innings.

    It's scarcely believable!

    Just what Yorkshire needed!

Josh Bohannon snicks Jared Warner behind and is on his way cheaply.

Rob Jones comes in at four for the Red Rose county.

    Surrey 278 v Kent 342 and 111-8

It was only a short rain delay at The Oval and timed perfectly with tea.

Kent are scrambling to try and set Surrey a few more.

A remarkable collapse earlier from 63-1 and building their lead well to 102-8!

  17. Worcestershire end of inningspublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Worcs 410-7 v Warwickshire 355-9d

Worcestershire complete their 120 overs and that's gone exactly to plan.

Five batting points and a lead of 55.

Ben Cox was lbw for 43 in the final over.

Can they now put Warwickshire under pressure?

  18. Postpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Yorkshire 260 v Lancashire 109-1

The evening session has started at Headingley - Yorkshire need some breakthroughs otherwise they'll be facing a first-innings deficit.

Alex Davies, who turned 26 yesterday, is closing in on a sixth first-class century - he has 72 to his name.

  19. Worcestershire 400published at 16:30 British Summer Time 24 August 2020

    Worcs 400-6 v Warwickshire 355-9d

Worcestershire's strong position slipped at 325-6 earlier but Ben Cox and Ed Barnard have steadied things very nicely indeed.

They've shared a stand at above five-an-over and brought up maximum batting points.

That could be very important if Gloucestershire and the weather can deny Somerset at Taunton.

Back under way in quite a few of the games after tea now. Although the outer bands of Storm Francis are beginning to close in on the south west... light could become an issue.
