Good cricket.

I feel that runs for Dawid Malan here are more important for his Test prospects than his chances of making the ODI side regularly.
Target 142
Hasan Ali will take the second new ball, and Dawid Malan welcomes him with a booming drive for four over the top of cover.
This is a big opportunity for Phil Salt, Dawid Malan and Zak Crawley. Opportunities don't come about too often in this England 50-over side. You have to grab one when they come about.
Malan gets off the mark with a trademark steer to third.

A big shout for lbw! But given not out. It must've pitched outside leg.
HUGE appeal!
Almost a wicket from the first ball in both innings, but this one was pitching outside leg stump and Phil Salt survives.
Thanks Kal.
The exciting Shaheen Afridi will get Pakistan under way. He's a talent, the tourists need him to perform.
Robin and Ted, we hope your message reaches Phil Salt and Dawid Malan who are making their way to the middle for England.
The hosts need 142 for victory.
From Kal to Cal, talking you through the first part of the chase is Callum Mathews.

Robin Benford: Thanks @englandcricket for the performance so far. My 11 year old, Ted, has a big under 13 game starting at 6 so if you could ask the batsmen to go well, and quickly, he would appreciate it. Cheers.
And Somerset's Overton, supported by the safe hands of skipper Stokes, finished off the Pakistan innings...
The brilliant Mahmood took his fourth of the match...
And the Pakistan tail did very little wagging as Craig Overton and Matt Parkinson also chipped in...
The exciting Fakhar Zaman offered Pakistan some hope before he departed...
It then got from bad to worse for the tourists...

Saqib Mahmood's length was relentless, and he bowled with attacking fields. To be able to hold your length when you've got three slips, and a gully, and only go at 4.2 over your 10 overs is great.
He bowled more balls that were hitting the top of the stumps than the other bowlers, and he didn't over the batters any freebies.
He did an outstanding job.
Last night, England fans were taken into extra time. Today, I predict an early finish.
Although we all know the quality of the Pakistan seamers, will they come out fighting with the ball?
Before we find out, let's have a look back at some of the best bits from this afternoon.

You would anticipate that that isn't going to be enough. England have the firepower, and they've got all-rounders in this team.
We can reflect on a good first half for England. They've had uncertainty, and there was pressure on the younger, inexperienced side, against an almost full strength Pakistan side.

Overall, that has been a demolition by the England bowlers.
Shaheen c Stokes b Overton 12 (Pak 141 all out)
Shaheen is dropped by Matt Parkinson at mid-on and Overton isn't happy, but the very next ball the Pakistan batsman sends the ball ballooning up to Ben Stokes for an easy grab.
England's new-look team need 142 for victory in the first game of this ODI series.

Surprisingly organised to be honest. I don't remember him being able to bat like this.

Shaheen has looked organised at the crease.
