  1. Ind 92-0published at 31 overs

A single from Moeen Ali's second over.

There's a brief moment of excitement, about a possible run out opportunity, as KL Rahul scurries down the wicket looking for a quick single, but he's wisely sent back by Rohit Sharma.

Jos Buttler hurried round, but couldn't pick up quickly anyway.

  3. Ind 91-0published at 30 overs

Five runs from Sam Curran's over. He's gone for 31 off his six overs.

Michael Vaughan said he bowled like a "schoolboy" earlier, with his insistence on bowling the inswinger rather than being patient.

Double change for England, with Sam Curran replacing Mark Wood.

Wood bowled a five-over spell of serious heat there.

Moeen has just bowled the first over by a specialist England spinner in a home Test for almost a year.

This constant back and forth to Moeen Ali as some kind of saviour of Test cricket is utterly painful. Having said that, I have some sympathy for him being put in this situation all the time when he isn't good enough. I honestly can't see Silverwood surviving past the Ashes at this rate.

  7. Ind 86-0published at 29 overs

A maiden to start from Moeen Ali.

KL Rahul tries to cut the final ball, but misses and Joe Root, who is at slip, turns away in disappointment.

Time for some spin - Moeen Ali is on.

He gets a pretty healthy cheer from the Lord's crowd.

This is a superb duel. Shades of Archer v Smith, only with Rohit currently getting the better of Wood.

  12. Ind 86-0published at 28 overs

Two dot balls end the over.

Mark Wood is bowling at some serious heat. He fell over twice in that over, if you've got that on your bingo card.

  13. Ind 86-0published at 27.4 overs

    Crunch!

Mark Wood drops a bit shorter, at 93mph, but Rohit Sharma smashes a pull through mid-wicket for another boundary.

    Serious shot.

There's much talk of Mark Wood's speed. But I'm pleased to see him used in a conventional and orthodox fashion. He's used as a bit of a battering ram, an enforcer, with short balls and bowling quick.

But with the ball swinging he can bowl a fourth-stump line and then use the odd short ball with a bit more surprise. He will create chances by bowling quickly, but with more in and around off stump.

  15. Ind 82-0published at 27.1 overs

England haven't had much luck today.

Rohit Sharma gets another slice of luck as he inside edges Mark Wood over the top of the stumps and away to the fine leg boundary.

  17. Ind 78-0published at 27 overs

While Rohit Sharma is on the attack, KL Rahul is still being watchful at the other end. He blocks and lets by another over from Ollie Robinson, who stares in his direction as one swings towards the stump that Rahul lets go on the length.

Rahul is on 15 off 74 balls, and still hasn't found the boundary.

The plan for Rohit Sharma will be to bowl a shorter delivery because he is an instinctive puller of the ball. He is in control of it more often than not but it's not a bad idea to see if it will bring a batsman error.

There were eight fours, including four in one over from Sam Curran, in Rohit Sharma's half-century. This is his 20th score of 50 or more in his career, and seven of them have turned into hundreds.

  20. Ind 77-0published at 26 overs

You feel like Rohit Sharma is ticking a bit here. He's looking to score from every ball if he can and it almost gets him in trouble when he goes to drive at a wide delivery from Mark Wood. He decides against it at the last minute.
