It was a really absorbing first hour.

England will feel they have bowled in a disciplined manner, but they've not quite had the rub of the green.

I did think the pitch looked a little bit slower when I looked at this morning, and the Indians have batted in a disciplined manner and been able to get forward and that is crucial. They are looking very calm and they have got their team a very solid platform.

That was a good delivery, that's why Sam Curran is in the side. Rohit Sharma wasn't sure if the ball was swinging away or in. It was just a really good line.

Sam Curran drops one a little full and wide and Rohit Sharma capitalises with clinical drive through point to the boundary for four.

A ball later, however, Curran draws an edge from Rohit's bat whistles just wide of Jonny Bairstow in the fourth and final slip position.

We have seen KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma lighting up the IPL, but here they are battling it out.

James Anderson runs his hands through his hair ruefully as he walks back to his mark following an unsuccessful appeal after the ball struck Rohit Sharma on the pad.

It certainly hit Rohit in line but it was a touch short and the ball looked to be going over the stumps.
