This gave the crowd at Lord's a chuckle, although I'm not sure Lord's head groundsperson Karl McDermott will be particularly thrilled.

This gave the crowd at Lord's a chuckle, although I'm not sure Lord's head groundsperson Karl McDermott will be particularly thrilled.
KL Rahul ducks and weaves, like a fleet-footed middleweight, to get out of the way of a vicious rising bouncer from Mark Wood which England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler does well to hang on to.

India are threatening to turn this into an excellent day.
It's taken KL Rahul a while to get going. He's faced 168 balls for his unbeaten 76. But he's played a lot more fluently since playing second fiddle to Rohit Sharma earlier in the innings.
This was a nice shot to pick up four off James Anderson.
Sam Curran, operating round the wicket, grunts as he gets one to beat Virat Kohli's outside edge. The diminutive left-armer has a look of fierce determination etched on his face.
Mark Wood, who bowled with good pace earlier, is into the attack. Much tighter as he pitches it up and extracts some movement away from the batsmen. Two runs taken from the over.

He has leaked runs.

It has not been Curran's day today.
Next ball and Sam Curran overpitches and it's punished ruthlessly by KL Rahul who bends on to one knee and punches it to the fence.
Not the best start from Curran after being brought back into the attack.

They made a mess of the pitch.

I don't think I've ever seen that before - two fielders diving for the same ball.
Sam Curran bowls a full wide one to Virat Kohli and the ball races away to the boundary. Dom Sibley and Haseeb Hameed both set off in hot pursuit and both dive, like a pair of synchronised swimmers, to stop the ball. Huge clumps of the Lord's turf taken out by the pair of them.
India run three.
James Anderson bangs one in short and KL Rahul takes on the hook shot. Rahul is unable to quite pick it up and ends miscuing it into himself.
Next ball, however, he is on the front foot and gloriously drives the ball through the covers for four. Beautiful.

I'm in the Mound Stand. Long leg Moeen has just given us a wave. What a lovely fella.
Lord's is now bathed in sunshine. Final ball of Ollie Robinson's over and he sends another down leg side. Poor Jos Buttler scampers to his left, and dives, but is unable to prevent the ball racing away for four byes.

Only a coupld of inches...

There was a good bit of something on that. Jos Buttler took off the down the leg side and he didn't miss it by much.
KL Rahul gets a glove on a delivery angling down leg side from Ollie Robinson which climbed into the batsman's body. There's a dive from Jos Buttler but the diving England wicketkeeper is unable to get near it. Rahul picks up four.
Third ball of the over prompts a 'yeah-oooo' response from Jos Butler as an Anderson delivery which beats the outside edge of KL Rahul's bat.
Kohli faces the final ball and it's more oohing and ahhing from Buttler as he nibbles one past the India captain's defence.

A couple of wickets for England and they will feel like they are right back in it. They need to keep plodding along; keep it tight.
