Eng 133-0published at 48 overs
One or two have whizzed past the bat but there has been absolutely nothing to trouble England's openers today.
A quick Google tells me Saturday is national red wine day. I can get down with that one.

Not sure there is a national James Anderson appreciation day. But there should be…

I am surprised to see Ishant Sharma opening the bowling. Starting day two this far behind, you want to set the tone with the first over and for me, Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers yesterday.

Umpire Alex Wharf has a friendly word with Ishant Sharma to warn the bowler his front foot is getting close to bowling a no-ball.
Rory Burns flicks through mid-on and Mohammed Siraj dives full stretch in the deep to save one run.

There's good overhead conditions for bowling, it's cloudy but India only have two slips. It doesn't make much sense to me but that's how much a lack of first innings runs can impact the game.

If you bowl on around middle and leg stump to Haseeb Hameed, he will not miss out. He's so strong off his legs.
Poor line from Shami and Hameed dispatches him to the leg-side boundary.
If this was a boxing fight, England unleashed powerful blow after blow on India's batsmen yesterday and then Burns and Hameed have elegantly danced around the ring and continuously jabbed the opponent's head.
It's been ridiculously one-sided.

The body language already has changed, and it's only been 13 minutes. India were buzzing at the start, and after couple of poor balls they've gone quiet.

Stephan's itinerary is spot on. I'm jealous of anyone at Headingley today.
Hameed dabs into the off side and England take a cheeky single. These two ran so well yesterday. The chemistry between the two is really encouraging.
On the legs from Sharma and Burns easily flicks through square leg for the first boundary of the morning.

Ugly Mugs cafe on St Michael's Lane. No trip to Headingley is complete without a visit. Literally across the road from the ground. Ugly Mugs before play, Brett's chip shop at lunch, the Headingley Taps pub at the close. Perfect.

Mohammed Shami, with his trademark mustard coloured towel hanging out the back of his trousers, bowls the second over of the day. It's a tidy start, not offering any freebies to Burns.
I've just been informed it's national dog day. Is there anything we don't have a national day for?

Kohli definitely means business this morning. England just need to survive this first hour.
The Barmy Army are belting out 'Jerusalem', which is drowning out Kohli and co who are quite vocal in the field.
Sharma was woeful in his first over yesterday, conceding nine runs and bowling two no-balls and a wide, but it's much better from the seamer today. He finds good seam movement and beats Hameed's bat.

Kohli marched out to the pitch like a man on a mission. They've already had two team huddles this morning.
Ishant Sharma, sporting a black beaded necklace, kicks things off with the ball. And the line is wrong straight away as birthday boy Burns clips off his hips for a single.
Opener Rory Burns is celebrating his 31st birthday.
If he gets to a century, I want to see Virat Kohli sing 'happy birthday' and Haseeb Hameed unleash some birthday beats.

The India team are hovering by the boundary and doing some last-minute stretches. This is a big morning for the tourists. They really need to win this session and win it convincingly.
For England, the openers need to continue where they left off yesterday.

The England players will be wearing black armbands in memory of former England and Sussex captain Ted Dexter, who has died aged 86.
