Ind 39-3published at 20 overs
Kohli 5, Jadeja 0
Jadeja has scores of 56, 40, 30, four and three in this series - decent enough I guess - but this still seems like a big call from India. From number seven to number five is a big jump.

When you put the opposition in to bat, it's sometimes difficult to know whether you made the right decision. But three wickets before lunch, you'd usually say that it's justified.
Now then. Ravindra Jadeja has been promoted above both Rahane and Pant to number five!

Pujara lingered there for a bit, he didn't want to go. The umpire was playing cat and mouse with him I think, asking are you going to walk? And when he didn't, the finger went up.
It zipped through nicely from Anderson, just a bit of movement away.
Pujara c Bairstow b Anderson 4 (Ind 39-3)
Nervous, Moe? Anderson strikes! It's an absolute beauty from England's greatest who finds movement off the pitch to take Cheteshwar Pujara's edge. It took a long while for the finger to go up but eventually - and correctly - it did.

If England bowl India out for less than 100, I will get a tattoo saying 'England' on my forehead.

Overton has his collar turned up as he bounds in. He continues the tight stuff with yet another maiden but not a massively threatening one.
Back to Anderson v Kohli.

A beautiful shot and very wristy from Virat Kohli to get off the mark.
Oh but now Kohli's away. A straight drive with a hint of a wristy flick. Anderson doesn't even turn to watch the ball reach the boundary as he stomps off to his fielding position.
It's time for Craig Overton for the first time today.
Kohli drives straight to the fielder. He's still yet to score after 12 deliveries.
The crowd gets excited as Anderson swings one into Kohli's thigh. There's no appeal from the England players.
Short leg is in.
Jimmy Anderson, below is best earlier, is back to resume his Kohli duel.

Chris Woakes has had one county 2nd XI game in a year, essentially. But he's come back in like he has never been away. It's something the modern bowler is so good at doing. They can just slot back in.
Pujara 4, Kohli 0
You guessed it. Another maiden from Woakes. It's like he's never been away.
I've sold my flat since I was last sat in this Test live-texter's chair. Anyone else got any news?

Cheteshwar Pujara appears to be taking his mindset from the last Test into this game. He is looking a lot more proactive and not been too many dead bat defensive shots. He's looking for the gaps even though he hasn't found them just yet.
Pujara 4, Kohli 0
The slips look like they're performing some sort of school disco dance as they all put their hands on heads in unison when Kohli plays one a little awkwardly.
Simon Mann reminds us that it's 51 international innings without a ton for Virat. You'd normally back him to rack up a handful in that time.

I wonder if we will see Moeen Ali a little earlier than you would normally expect. I looked at the pitch earlier today and I think there is definitely something in it for the spinners. I'd give him three overs before lunch.
Pujara 4, Kohli 0
Pujara heads back into his shell after that boundary with no runs coming from the rest of the over.
Robinson is going to bowl an eighth over on the spin.

Rachel T: India are making progress. Kohli is out to bat 50 mins later than at Headingley!
Peter Watson: Everyone keeps talking about Pujara being out of form. He's India's third-highest run-scorer this series after the openers. Kohli, Rahane and Pant should be more concerned.
Woakes bowls his first bad ball of the day and Pujara gleefully flicks away a boundary to end a run of 44 minutes without a run.
