This may be the last over of the day. Jadeja is bowling it. Burns on strike.

And India have lost a review, and that's taken up a bit of time too.

    Not. Out.

    And breathe.

I really should not be an umpire. It was going over the top. India lose their review.

Hameed hasn't hit it. It's a bit high.

  6. India reviewpublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    Danger. Big danger.

If Haseeb Hameed hasn't hit this he's in massive trouble.

  7. Eng 75-0published at 30.5 overs

Four more to Hameed. Kohli's arms are thrown wide in dismay.

    England need 293 to win.

Tomorrow, there won't be much left in the way of fingernails left, is my feeling.

Haseeb Hameed gets another one fine and Jasprit Bumrah can't cut it off. England need less than 300 to win. We're set for one of the great days tomorrow.

Burns has played nicely out of that rough.

  11. Eng 67-0published at 30 overs

    Burns 29, Hameed 35

Burns has been surrounded late in the day with India having a slip, leg slip, silly point and short leg. All of those fielders, plus keeper Rishabh Pant, go up for an optimistic appeal in this Jadeja over. It is quickly waved away.

Just nine minutes remain. At what point do we declare this on?

Clever, Steve. I might use that one day although I've now scuppered my plans if my boss is reading.

This was that Haseeb Hameed drive a little while ago which got me very excited.

Changing my Zoom name to "Buffering" tomorrow and keeping my webcam switched off. That way I can blame my home internet and enjoy the final days play. That should do the trick.

India only have one slip and he's positioned at around third slip. Right on cue Hameed edges right through where a regulation first slip would have been.

I don't think it would have carried.

About 20 minutes remain in the day. Can England get to the close?

I've just seen a shot of Craig Overton with his pads on. We're into nightwatchman territory.

    Target 368

Some of the enthusiasm has definitely gone out of India's fielders. Suryakumar Yadav, or SKY as he's known to the lazy, is having a word with Siraj who has created very little. SKY is on the field as a sub with both Rohit and Pujara off.

Is that the slightest hint of worry on Kohli's face?

  19. Eng 59-0published at 26 overs

    Burns 27, Hameed 29

That's a much better over from Jadeja who causes Burns one or two problems and my blood pressure to rise a tad.
