In theory we have half an hour of play left but Sri Lanka may be thinking we won't get those for the light.

It was the perfect length from Leach. They hadn't been making the batsmen push out of the ball when it is not quite there. That was perfectly pitched. You can see what that means to Jack Leach. Good catch from Buttler.

That was perfect. A lovely left-armer's dismissal.

    Gone!

That is a very pleasing wicket; a lovely ball from Jack Leach, turning away from Kusal Mendis as he gropes forward, and a good catch from Jos Buttler, whose gloves are ready and waiting to snaffle the edge up as the ball rises towards his shoulder. A crucial wicket for England.

More like it! Kusal Mendis leaves a Jack Leach delivery that finds some extra turn and bounce from nowhere, and just misses off stump.

Stuart Broad's Bandana: Good to hear that @bbctms appreciate what I've done for Stuart Broad. His bowling figures have greatly improved since he started wearing me, had he always worn me he would have had over 800 Test wickets by now. Bandanas are finally getting the credit they deserve.

A 90mph brute from Mark Wood that has Lahiru Thirimanne whipping his hand off the top of his bat, before Jos Buttler recovers well from a fumble down the leg side to keep it to a maiden.

The pitch has got a little flatter. It hasn't quickened up. The batsmen have played well. They are allowed to do that.

But, I think the spinners will be disappointed with the pressure they have been able to build. I would have expected a little bit more.

Lahiru Thirimanne takes one hand off his bat and clonks a drive to extra cover, while Mark Wood picks himself up off the floor after falling over in his follow through. Wood ends the over with a friendly bouncer.
