It's Zak Crawley again at short leg! Dilruwan Perera middles a clip off the pads but Crawley just calmly gobbles up the catch. It was straight at him but that's a sharp take.

Sri Lanka are seven down. Dom Bess has four.

What is the maximum England will want to chase? 170? They'll want their target to be 150 or fewer for sure.

Well it seems Sri Lanka haven't abandoned their attacking plan. Dilruwan Perera, who batted really well in the first innings, comes running down the pitch. He doesn't get all of the ball and chips a couple.

Don't get carried away, Sri Lanka have better spinners than England so any score over 100 will be difficult to chase.

The afternoon session will begin in a few minutes. England did a fine job but they still won't want this Sri Lankan lead to grow much further.

The pitch is a really difficult one to bat on now.

Was half expecting to wake up to Jack Leach on a majestic 33 not out, nurturing the strike beautifully with Jimmy, and ticking over into a lead.

Just waking up? You have missed a quite incredible session of cricket where England have come right back into this match.

Sri Lanka have played some baffling shots and are 67-6 at lunch in their second innings. Jack Leach and Dom Bess have three wickets each.

England only added five runs to their overnight total this morning before Jack Leach was dismissed.

Sri Lanka lead by 104 runs.

Both batsmen at the crease have also been dropped by Joe Root at slip. After his performance in the series so far, I'll let him off. One was a tough chance, the one off Ramesh Mendis probably should have been taken.

    • 29-2: Oshada Fernando edges a good ball from Dom Bess onto his pad and is caught at short leg for three.
    • 37-3: Zak Crawley takes great catch at short leg off Leach to dismiss Lahiru Thirmanne for 13. Crawley caught a flick straight off the left-hander's bat.
    • 37-4: Angelo Mathews (5) bowled by Bess when playing a big sweep. The lead is just 74.
    • 47-5: Captain Dinesh Chandimal skies slog sweep to James Anderson at mid-on, who takes a fine catch running back. Chandimal had just hit a four the ball before with the same shot.
