A really, really strong performance from England. If you look down from one to 11, most people have contributed. I think we were all watching those first overs with Dom Sibley, thinking 'oh, he'll get out', and he put in a superb performance. He watched the ball right onto the bat. Full credit to him.

England opener Dom Sibley on Test Match Special: "I've not had a great series. To get some runs and get the boys over the line is a really nice feeling. I felt under pressure going into the start of the innings.

"I haven't really got in in any of the other three. I haven't faced much spin at the top of the order, especially with the new ball, and the left-armer had the wood over me. I worked really hard before Christmas on playing spin and I felt confident in that. It was just a case of keep believing that what I had done was good work. I had a bit of luck, too, but I'm pleased it's paid off."

Sri Lanka are a poor team but England have been questioned with their spinners. They will have to bowl better in India. But the confidence that this will do for the team, and for Joe Root at the start of a huge year, is huge.

Eddie: Remember last summer when we all lamented the decision to keep Jos Buttler in the Test team? He's now becoming one of our best Test players! It's going to be harder against India, NZ and Australia but I'm looking forward to seeing him.

It has been ideal for England but the wheels can fall off very quickly in India.

That's the first time England have won five successive Tests away from home since 1914.

Not a bad record to break, hey? Well played.

Well played, England. They look absolutely delighted and Dom Sibley has a nice smile on his face.

England were assisted by Sri Lanka but they will be delighted to come over here, in testing conditions, to lose the tosses and find themselves in sticky situations but battle themselves out of them. It has been wonderful. They can sit back tonight and pat each other on the back.

A huge grin on Joe Root's face and it gets even bigger as he sees Dom Sibley, who he gives a hug and a massive pat on the back.

England lost the toss both times and have still won both Tests on turning tracks.

Yes, they will face sterner opposition, and they will face it very, very soon. But this is a great win, led by a captain in magnificent form with the bat.

England will be absolutely delighted - they've had a couple of wobbles, and Joe Root has played amazingly well, but if you go to Sri Lanka lose both tosses and have to bat last twice, you think you're going to be up against it. But England have managed to overcome it and got themselves out of some sticky situations so all told they will be absolutely delighted with the way things have turned out.

Andy: That is arguably one of Sibley's most important innings for England. Very steady whilst wickets fell around him and showed that he can handle spin in the subcontinent.
