Funnily enough, Matt, I did wonder about that...

You need a different colour for unrelated updates - I saw the blue and feared the worst.

There's about 26 overs left today, with England needing 80 runs to win. It's not panic stations just yet!
Dan Lawrence joins Dom Sibley. England need to not lose their heads - plenty of time left in this game.

A huge wicket! Sri Lanka will just start to think they've got half a sniff of victory here.

That is a big wicket for Sri Lanka.

Joe Root is out!
Everyone looks surprised! Root's gone down to sweep again, missed, and he's been bowled around his legs! It looks to have got a little high on Root and it's brushed his trouser pocket en route to the stumps. Root had a good long look at the stumps before walking off.
Oh, shot! Joe Root skips down the pitch and drives gloriously back down the ground to pick up four. So, so good.
Ramesh Mendis is replacing the heroic Embuldeniya.

Just a couple of wickets would put the pressure back on England. Joe Root is the key - he is the glue of this middle order.
I've been impressed with Dom Sibley. He was all at sea in the first three innings, but he has obviously been thinking about it.
Need 86 runs to win
As well as two Tests against New Zealand - who are currently the world number ones - England are also scheduled to play three T20s against Sri Lanka at Cardiff and the Ageas Bowl in late June.
Good news!

Ooft! Dilruwan Perera comes perilously close to bowling Joe Root as the ball once again stays low, spinning under Root's attempted sweep and spinning into Niroshan Dickwella's gloves.

Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
A long-off is a silly position for Dom Sibley.
Target 164
It is so easy for Joe Root to pick off the singles, just as he has done all series. You'd have thought Sri Lanka might have thought up something to stop him by now. Dom Sibley also gets in on the act with a healthy clip through mid-wicket for a couple.

Those late wickets have dragged Root's Test bowling average below his batting average. Can we talk about genuine all-rounder status?
