Well played, Dom Sibley.
After some hard work in the nets, the England opener registers his first 50 of the winter. Not a better moment to do it.

This is why Test match cricket is so great for me - you've got to perform over four or five days across all departments and Sri Lanka just haven't been able to do that.
Taking nothing away from England though - they've played well.
13 runs, unlucky for some, needed now.

What a moment it will be if Dom Sibley can see this through. It will a big boost to his confidence, and just what he needed ahead of the India tour.

OliB: Big credit to Ed Smith on perseverance with Buttler in the Test team, really delivering now consistently.
Need 15 runs to win
Oh, Jos, behave. Another stunning bottom-handed drive goes racing away for four. That shot is so good.
Right then! How long can we squeeze in before the light fades?
Dilruwan Perera will have another bowl.
Chelsea have sacked Frank Lampard, by the way, if anyone has any interest in that sort of caper.

The way Jos Buttler is batting might mean that we don't need to set the alarm for the morning.
Sibley 48, Buttler 33
There's nine overs left in the day, and just 21 runs for England to get to claim a 2-0 series victory and lift the Moose Clothing Cup.

It is a brilliant shot. It's a not a high-risk shot for Jos Buttler when he picks the right length delivery.

That is a lovely looking shot from Jos Buttler - really classy.
Need 22 runs to win
Woof. Jos Buttler's drives are so good, and he cracks another one through cover for four. It's all in that bottom hand. Brutal yet elegant.
A single brings up the 50 partnership from 76 balls.

Have a word with the BBC Sport alerts person. The Frank Lampard alert nearly gave me a heart attack!

Lasith Embuldeniya is understandably tiring now, and a short delivery is cut for four by a grateful Jos Buttler.

It would have been an absolute blinder.

That was definitely a chance. The bowler looks devastated.
It wasn't an easy chance by any means but it is one that Sri Lanka needed to hang on to.
Eng 126-4
Down!
Not easy, as Jos Buttler has hammered this drive firmly back towards the bowler, and Ramesh Mendis gets a hand to it but he can't cling on. It would have been a one-handed screamer, and Mendis pounds the turf in annoyance.

Who would have thought that when we started this morning that England could possibly win today if the light holds?

Is Homes under the Hammer still going?! Used to be staple hangover TV for me in my teens. And, er, later in my twenties.
