    As he might well be.

It was going to be a tricky one to overturn. If it did brush the glove it was at the very top of it.

Well, it's certainly hit Jonny Bairstow's arm as he missed a reverse sweep.

Has it just brushed his glove?

Niroshan Dickwella likes this - but when doesn't he?

We're going upstairs to check a caught behind shout on Jonny Bairstow.

  6. Eng 52-1published at 12.2 overs

Four! Jonny Bairstow reverse sweeps handsomely to the boundary, with one fielder folornly running after it as it clatters into the advertising foams.

Ahead of the curve. Just the one wicket down while on the nursery run, I’d budgeted for two.

Bairstow is a good batsman to come in as you know he's not going to get bogged down. He's a good reader of the game.

Very harsh on whichever one of Root or Embuldeniya ends up on the losing side. Herculean performances from both.

    Thanks, Matthew.

England are in a very good position, it has to be said. Lasith Embuldeniya can't do all the heavy lifting for Sri Lanka. He's more than played his part in this Test.

So far, so good for England. But surely there'll be a twist.

If the light holds this match will probably finish today. Amy Lofthouse will take you to the close.

This will be the last over before tea. Sibley just needs to get through and England will be very happy.
