Oh. my. days. What a delivery.

What a start from Jimmy Anderson! He is thundering in and he sneaks the reversing ball through the defences of Shubman Gill, sending the off stump clattering out of the ground. The noise that made when it hit the stumps! WOW!

    England are on top.

Superb from Shubman Gill. He's only 21 - what a talent.

The biggest compliment I can give him is that he has almost looked like he's having a net this morning. He looks unflustered.

    Target 420

I've just had a look online and the draw is marginal favourite at the moment, with England just behind. India are double-figured odds to win...

I mean that will shorten the longer these two are together. They still need 333 wins so would have to score at 4.27 runs an over for the rest of the day, which on this pitch may be hard work, but not impossible.

Four off Dom Bess' latest over.

India are looking to be positive here - particularly with their running. I like that. So many sides just try and sit in their bunker during a fifth-day battle and most end up losing.

Are the odds on a draw shortening all the time?

  15. Ind 78-2published at 23 overs

    Target 420

You really don't know what you're going to get from Dom Bess. After the six he drops short and Shubman Gill's pull whacks Ollie Pope in the knee at short leg.

He then throws down a full toss that Gill works for a single.

I know Bess is only 23, but his lack of consistency is alarming at times.

Shubman Gill is a talent. He whacks Dom Bess over wide long-on for a big 'un.

I think it's probably fair to say that India don't rate Bess very much.

Kevin Ticehurst: Come on England, 8 more wickets that is all we need. But with this India batting line up, should I be nervous that they can chase this down? Of course I should be...
