    Is Ravichandran Ashwin out lbw?

He was a fair way down the pitch but Jos Buttler really likes this.

  4. Ind 159-6published at 47 overs

    Target 420

This pitch is far from easy. James Anderson gets a little bit of extra bounce, more like a pop, to Virat Kohli and the ball balloons up in the air slightly but it is well short of any fielders in the on side.

Anderson signals he needs a drink. He's bowled four overs since lunch so that may be his lot in this spell.

    Just a bit, Charles.

Head over here to catch-up and then come back to us for the rest of the day.

Again just a single off the over.

England have conceded 13 runs in seven overs since lunch. Crucially for India though they haven't lost a wicket.

There are a minimum of 57 overs left in the day.

England have got some decisions to make about Anderson in the next Test. Surely you go with him? Form is such an elusive thing to find in sport and he's bang in form.

  10. Ind 156-6published at 45 overs

    Target 420

This partnership between Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin is wroth 39 now.

England just need to be patient. We've already seen that wickets can fall in clusters and there's certainly enough in this wicket for them to create plenty of opportunities if they bowl well.

Just another single to India and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Jack Leach is working really hard to be consistent here and just to keep dropping it on the same mark ball after ball.

Stuart Broad's bandana: What's also remarkable about Jimmy Anderson is that, despite the heat and humidity, he maintains that fantastic quiff.

Joe Root has given James Anderson a second slip to Ravichandran Ashwin now after his edge through there in his previous over.

There's still a little bit of movement out there for Anderson, not as much as earlier but it is there.

Lovely shot! Virat Kohli has played really nicely. He gets to the pitch of the ball and whips Jack Leach back down the ground for his sixth four.

    He's up to 49.
