Tom Cray: Toss Buttler
Fielding at deep square leg must be a lonely job in this circumstance. You'd just want to be around the bat having fun with your mates. Instead, Kuldeep Yadav has to run around to collect the ball after Joe Root pulls a rare bad ball for four.

Surely a pancake XI would be all 'batters'? OK, how about Andy Flower (flour)?
Martin Carritt, Bradford
Target 482
Pant is almost laughing at the England's batsmen's pain. He cackles away when Stokes sets off for another single that's not there. Root takes a couple of steps down the pitch and has to go scrambling back. The India players are loving this.
Safe.
Not a run-out?! I think Joe Root is back in his ground.
I'd love to be a good wicketkeeper. It must be so much fun. Handy too. I imagine Ben Foakes just plucks jars out of the air as they fall from cupboards whereas I see them come crashing down onto my toes.
An excellent piece of bowling from Ashwin to remove Lawrence - and some superb photography...
Root 15, Stokes 4
The umpires have taken a fair bit of stick in this match, some of it justified, but predicting where these spinning deliveries will end up is horribly difficult. Kohli waves away Ashwin's request for a review, signalling the ball would have missed by a foot or two. Probably.
It gets easier now the ball is 30 overs old, right?
Gill was hit last night when Root swept the ball hard into his wrists. India will be hoping to good news for their talented opener from that scan. Time for a Cricketers Pancake XI anyone?

All teams look different when they're winning but India remarkably so. The chirp is almost constant. Yesterday, we had Kohli conducting his followers to chant in the crowd. They look a different team.
Pant takes another one that spins halfway to Ahmedabad to Stokes.
Target 482
I wouldn't bet against it happening here, Paul. There was a chat between Ashwin and Pant before the Lawrence wicket. There are suggestions firing the ball down the leg side was all planned. Impressive if so. Root sweeps for four.

Jack Shantry got 100 and 10 wickets for Worcestershire a few years ago. No way is Ashwin as good as that.
Paul in Kent
India need six wickets to win
Pant has been brilliant in this match. He often gets criticised for his keeping but may have missed less than the great Ben Foakes over the past few days.
How long can Ben Stokes survive?
Lawrence st Pant b Ashwin 26 (Eng 66-4)
Lawrence is out to Ashwin's first ball! When it's your week...
In fairness India's off spinner must give a whole lot of credit to Rishabh Pant for this. It's a sensational take which allows him to complete the stumping. Lawrence comes skipping down the pitch, Ashwin fires the ball between Lawrence's legs, it spins and the unsighted Pant gathers the ball and removes the bails.
Brilliant.
The crowd is chanting and screaming again. It's Ashwin time.
Lawrence 26, Root 8
Fortune for Lawrence who is trying to drive Axar Patel through the covers. I would say he's driving out of the foot holes but this pitch looks like one big foot hole. The ball loops in the air but out of the reach of the fielder.
England batting coaching consultant Jonathan Trott: "The plan is to remain positive and look for runs - rotate strike, pick up length quickly, move your feet, and back your options. That's the best way to go about things - and see how far we can go.
"We've seen the way people have scored runs on this wicket have gone about it - it's pretty similar. Get as close as possible to the pitch of the ball or get as far back as possible and give themselves as much time to adjust to what spin or bounce that is."
Virat Kohli gets an ovation for the most conventional piece of fielding at mid-off. No word yet whether he will be punished for his outburst at the umpires last night. If the India captain does incur the wrath of the match referee he may be in trouble for the next Test. He can't afford to receive any more demerit points.
