Leach has got to be the number one spinner this summer. He can bowl with consistency, trouble India's top order and deal with the destructiveness of Rishabh Pant!

  2. Ind 40-2published at 26 overs

Virat Kohli gets a big stride in to smother any spin from Jack Leach, and Leach has his arms above his head as the final ball spins past Kohli's gloves as he leaves the ball alone. Lovely.

Here's Jack Leach bowling to Virat Kohli.

Harsh: England have bowled beautifully this morning with complete control and discipline.

  5. Ind 40-2published at 25 overs

I might have been a bit unfair on poor Pujara there. I didn't realise quite how close bat and pad were together, but that's a corker of a decision from Nitin Menon. Pujara must have been convinced he'd hit it, as he's taken out a review in the process.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma sees out a maiden from Ben Stokes.

Jack Leach has got Pujara four times in this series, which is very, very handy.

    Out comes Virat Kohli.

    Pujara lbw b Leach 17 (Ind 40-2)

I mean, that's a naff review. Three reds!

I can only assume Pujara thought he'd hit that, as it's absolutely crashing into middle stump. Cracking decision from the umpire and Pujara's long vigil is over for 17.

Kohli's putting his gloves and helmet on, which implies he's thinks it's out...

Pujara was pressing forward but the ball has missed the bat.

  10. India reviewpublished at 04:54 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2021

    Out!

This one looks a better shout against Cheteshwar Pujara, and it's given. He reviews it...

  11. Ind 40-1published at 23.1 overs

A big lbw shout against Cheteshwar Pujara...

Jack Leach likes it, Joe Root isn't sure, and they opt against the review. Pujara had come a long way out of his crease and might have got a bit of bat on that before it hit the pad.

  12. England women beat New Zealandpublished at 04:51 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2021

It's turning into a good tour for England, isn't it?

After winning the ODI series 2-1, they have won the second T20 by six wickets with almost three overs to spare.

Freya Davies took 4-23 as New Zealand were restricted to 123-9, with Tammy Beaumont leading the chase.

    Straightforward as you like.

  13. Ind 38-1published at 23 overs

Ben Stokes ends his latest over with a bouncer that Rohit Sharma ducks in rather ungainly fashion, keeping his bat high above his head. Hmm.

  14. Postpublished at 04:48 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2021

James Anderson is off for a rest, with a change of ends for Ben Stokes.

  15. Ind 36-1published at 22 overs

Spin! Jack Leach's fourth ball grips and turns past Rohit Sharma's outside edge, and Ben Foakes has the bails off as quick as you'd like.

And that's almost the wicket! Cheteshwar Pujara gets a thick outside edge on this latest delivery and he's lucky that a deflection off the very tip of Foakes' gloves takes some pace off to send it on the bounce to Ben Stokes at slip.

  18. Ind 34-1published at 21 overs

Another maiden from James Anderson. Metronomic.

  19. Ind 34-1published at 20 overs

Another lifter from Ben Stokes, this time sending the ball rattling across the grille, reminds Cheteshwar Pujara to stay watchful.

If you wanted someone to bat for your life, you'd go for Pujara, wouldn't you? It might not be particularly pretty but my word, it's efficient. He's seen off 58 balls for his 15 not out.

  20. Ind 34-1published at 19 overs

James Anderson does what James Anderson does, bowling a maiden to take his figures to 9-7-3-1.
