  1. 'Victory chase looks an outside possibility'published at 13:07 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Lunch - Northants 54-0 (target 355) v Glamorgan

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Northants have made a brisk start after being set 355 in 79 overs although a serious victory chase still looks an outside possibility, and survival a more likely option.

Openers Ben Curran and Ricardo Vasconcelos took advantage of some attacking fields to bring up the 50 in the 11th over, though they may be concerned by the erratic bounce with some balls keeping low and one from Michael Hogan taking off from a footmark.

Earlier Kiran Carlson and Chris Cooke, both in fine form, completed half-centuries with a range of expansive shots before Cooke declared to try to give his bowlers a decent chance of taking 10 wickets.

Northants captain Adam Rossington may come in lower than normal because of a possible broken finger, with Harry Gouldstone keeping wicket in the 15 overs bowled this morning.

    Warwickshire 32-1 (target 256) v Essex

Hanuma Vihari is showing his class early on in his innings at Edgbaston.

The India batsman punches Jamie Porter straight down the ground to the rope and follows it with a delightful clip through mid-wicket. Four more. He's up to 14 off 12 balls.

That's the chase up and running rather nicely.

    Worcs 436 v Notts 276 & 135-0 (f/o)

Haseeb Hameed and Ben Slater are blocking everything in sight at New Road.

Only five runs off the past five overs.

It's all they need to do to salvage the draw.

    Warwickshire 21-1 (target 256) v Essex

India batsman Hanuma Vihari is in at three for Warwickshire and finds the boundary with his second ball.

It's a lovely straight drive off Jamie Porter. Pure timing from the 27-year-old.

He could well be the key for the Bears chances.

YORKSHIRE BEAT SUSSEXpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Yorkshire (150 & 305) beat Sussex (221 & 186) by 48 runs

    It's all over at Hove.

Fitting that Dom Bess finishes things off with his sixth wicket, that of Henry Crocombe (4) thanks to David Willey's catch at mid-wicket.

It all came to a conclusion quite quickly in the end and the two quick wickets, including that of captain Ben Brown, ensured Yorkshire would take the win.

  13. Glamorgan set Northants 355 to winpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Northants 364 v Glamorgan 407 & 311-5 dec

Chris Cooke says that's enough and Glamorgan have declared at The County Ground.

They added 106 runs from the overnight total in little over an hour to take that lead over 350.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Brown b Thompson 46 (Sussex 181-9, target 235 v Yorkshire)

    Make that nine!

Jordan Thompson claims the big wicket of Ben Brown, four short of a half-century, to put Yorkshire one wicket away from the win.

Sussex need 54 for victory and if they're going to do so, it's going to take some heroics from tail-enders Henry Crocombe and Sean Hunt.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Carson c Lyth b Root 18 (Sussex 180-8, target 235 v Yorkshire)

    Sussex are eight down!

Joe Root takes his first wicket of the match, getting Jack Carson caught at slip by Adam Lyth.

That was a timely intervention by the England skipper, with Ben Brown (46*) and Carson building a decent partnership.

  16. Postpublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Warwickshire 0-0 (target 256) v Essex

Will Rhodes and Rob Yates get Warwickshire's pursuit of 256 under way at Edgbaston.

With Essex's bowling resources, you'd probably say they're favourites.

  17. 50 runs

for Hameedpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Worcs 436 v Notts 276 & 121-0 (f/o)

Haseeb Hameed's fine match at New Road continues.

The Notts opener goes to fifty off 153 balls to add to his first-innings century.

Still no wickets for Worcestershire and their victory chances are slipping away.

Notts trail by just 39 now.

  18. Glos lose both openers in three ballspublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Hampshire 470 v Gloucestershire 320 & 34-2

All change at Southampton too where Gloucestershire have lost both openers within the space of three balls.

First, Chris Dent (10) is caught caught by Liam Dawson at slip off Brad Wheal, then Dawson takes the ball for the 17th over and promptly dismisses Kraigg Brathwaite (21).

That brings James Bracey and Tom Lace to the fold as a new batting partnership.

    Glos still trail by 116.

  19. Durham break opening standpublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Durham v Derbyshire 45-1 (target 384)

Ben Raine has finally make a breakthrough for Durham, bowling Derbyshire opener Tom Wood for 25.

Nine wickets to go for the hosts at Chester-le-Street. Or 339 more runs for the visitors if you're being optimistic.

  20. Postpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Northants 364 v Glamorgan 407 & 290-5

Over at The County Ground, Kiran Carlson reached his half-century before being removed by Nathan Buck for 59.

It's been a very useful innings and Glamorgan are concentrating on adding quick runs this morning, with their lead now up to 333.

How many will Chris Cooke want I wonder? He's currently on 48 not out so I'm sure he'll give it enough time to get a couple more himself!
