Finally Warwickshire end Essex's second innings and they'll require 256 for victory.

Bears spinner Danny Briggs pins Jamie Porter lbw but only after Essex's last wicket put on 42 potentially crucial runs.

Simon Harmer is left stranded on 82.

  2. wicket

Two wickets for Lancashirepublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Kent 169 & 246-4 (f/o) v Lancashire 525

    Oh dear.

It's all unravelling suddenly for Kent who were so stoic in their fightback yesterday but have lost three quick wickets this morning.

Matt Parkinson has trapped Zak Crawley (36) lbw and then caught and bowled Jack Leaning first ball.

They're still trailing by 110 and those wickets really will be a hammer blow for their confidence after giving themselves a chance yesterday.

    Durham v Derbyshire 37-0 (target 384)

So far, so good for Derbyshire opening pair Luis Reece and Tom Wood.

It doesn't appear the pursuit of 384 is on, but they've seen out the difficult opening exchanges of the morning session.

The Essex lead continues to grow.

Simon Harmer (78 not out) and Jamie Porter (10 not out) have now put on 37 for the last wicket and Porter has been at the crease for more than an hour.

Frustrating times for the Bears, delight for Essex.

    Bell-Drummond b Bohannon 114 (Kent 169 & 237-2 (f/o) v Lancashire 525)

Daniel Bell-Drummond's brilliant knock comes to an end as he chops on to his stumps from Josh Bohannon.

The Kent skipper batted superbly in difficult circumstances to reach his century yesterday after his team had been forced to follow-on.

He's only been able to add six runs this morning and is now back in the pavilion, where he will watch England batsmen Zak Crawley and Joe Denly try to recreate his good work.

    Robinson lbw b Patterson 6 (Sussex 148-7, target 235 v Yorkshire)

Yorkshire make the breakthrough just short of the half-hour as Steve Patterson pins Ollie Robinson lbw.

Sussex need another 87 to win but they are now seven down.

The new man joining skipper Ben Brown in the middle is Jack Carson.

    Northants 364 v Glamorgan 407 & 238-4

Glamorgan are looking to score some quick runs to build up their lead, which currently stands at 281.

Kiran Carlson has moved on to 41 and Chris Cooke 18 with the duo adding 33 runs to the overnight total already.

Back-to-back boundaries take Simon Harmer to 75.

First the Essex number eight punches Olly Stone past point, but the second has a bit of fortune about it as he gets an inside edge onto the pad and through the slips.

    243 the advantage now.

It's worth remembering Essex were 35-5 at one stage yesterday, leading by just 46.

That advantage now stands at 233.

Simon Harmer has batted brilliantly for his 66, but have the Bears let this one get away?

    Sussex 138-6 (target 235) v Yorkshire

Dom Bess took five wickets yesterday, including one with the last ball of the day, so it's no great surprise that he has been brought straight into the action this morning.

Ben Brown is on 26 not out and Ollie Robinson has added a couple of runs, with Sussex requiring 97 runs for victory.

It's fascinatingly poised and we should be in for an exciting morning at Hove.

One of the matches where we're likely to have a fascinating final day is at Edgbaston.

It's going to be a really tricky chase for Warwickshire when they do take the final wicket this morning.
