    Worcestershire have finally managed to break a dogged eighth-wicket partnership between Michael Burgess (85 not out) and Danny Briggs (24) with Josh Tongue getting Briggs leg before.

    Those two added 53 in that stand.

    Kraigg Brathwaite has been in prime defensive mode - the West Indies Test captain has eight off 57 balls.

    Lyndon James reaches his second first-class half-century with a clip into the legside for a couple.

    It's come off 90 balls with eight fours and has been key in this partnership worth 123 so far for the fifth wicket with Steven Mullaney (73 not out).

    Notts now 108 ahead and with a first batting point in the bag too.

    Northants are putting themselves into a match-winning position early on day two at Wantage Road.

    They already have a first-innings lead of 124 over Sussex with five wickets in hand.

    Saif Zaib (72 not out) and Adam Rossington (37 not out) are looking good in a stand worth 82 so far.

    He survived being dropped in the last over last night and so far, he's kept out a few probing overs from Kyle Abbott and Mohammad Abbas.

    Jack Leach (11 not out) is trying to emulate his Headingley 2019 heroics but on a slightly different scale as Somerset continue to stretch their lead over Hampshire to 78.

    Skipper Tom Abell alongside him on 55.

    The left-hander doesn't look particularly amused, but the Glamorgan batsman has to go.
