Width from David Payne and Lewis Gregory forces it away to the cover boundary. Wonder what this game has in store for the final day? Would the two captains contemplate a double innings forfeit, leaving Somerset to set a target for a run-chase? Or given their positions at the top of Group Two, will they just take the points for a draw and move on?

We have action at The Oval following the rain which briefly delayed the final session. Blake Cullen has three balls left to complete an over and Mark Stoneman finds the fine leg boundary from the first of them.
And just like that, one ball into the next over from Tim Murtagh, more rain arrives and they are off again.

Notts captain Steven Mullaney has come in and struck a 40-ball half-century.
