  1. 100 runs

for Tom Abellpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Gloucestershire v Somerset 255-7

Well played Tom Abell, who completes a patient 257-ball century with four runs to cover off David Payne. It's his eight three-figure score in first-class cricket and the boundary was the 11th of his innings. His partnership with Lewis Gregory is now worth 79.

    Kent 307 v Glamorgan 59-2

It must be tough for Glamorgan's batsmen to know how to approach this mini-session. The only addition since play belatedly started at 17:20 has been four leg-byes, so Billy Root is still 21 not out, with Joe Cooke on 10.

    ten Doeschate c Burgess b Norwell 56 (Essex 169-7 v Warwickshire 166)

Liam Norwell sends in a short one, Ryan ten Doeschate tries to swat it away but gets a feather through to the keeper.

Tendo on his way for 56. Essex lead by three. What can they stretch that to?

  4. Durham chipping awaypublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Derbys 245-8 v Durham

Chris Rushworth has just picked up his fourth wicket at Derby, removing Fynn Hudson-Prentice.

  5. Postpublished at 17:34 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Hants v Leics 13-1 (target 150)

I think it's safe to say Leicestershire aren't pursuing this target of 150.

Opener Hassan Azad has one off 36 deliveries.

11 overs to go, but they may shake hands before that.

    Surrey 190 & 44-0 v Middlesex

We have seen no sign of a clatter of wickets since Surrey began their second innings. Rory Burns flicks to fine leg for four in the latest Tim Murtagh over and, with sun now overhead, Mark Stoneman begins the next, bowled by Ethan Bamber, with a flowing drive for another boundary.

  7. Postpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Gloucestershire v Somerset 241-7

Width from David Payne and Lewis Gregory forces it away to the cover boundary. Wonder what this game has in store for the final day? Would the two captains contemplate a double innings forfeit, leaving Somerset to set a target for a run-chase? Or given their positions at the top of Group Two, will they just take the points for a draw and move on?

  8. 50 runs

for ten Doeschatepublished at 17:27 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Essex 165-6 v Warwickshire 166

What an important half-century this could be from Ryan ten Doeschate.

He's taken his side within a couple of runs of taking a first-innings lead over Warwickshire.

Can Essex set up a victory chance tomorrow by getting a handy advantage?

  9. Postpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Kent 307 v Glamorgan 55-2

Yes, it's true, we finally have play at Canterbury.

After two dot balls from Miguel Cummins to complete an over, Matt Quinn follows with a maiden to Billy Root, who is still 21 not out.

Joe Cooke is at the other end and he will face - who else - Darren Stevens.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Evans lbw b Abbott 8 (Hants v Leics 13-1, target 150)

Can Hampshire prize out another nine wickets in 13 overs!?

Kyle Abbott pins Sam Evans lbw for his seventh wicket of the match.

The draw is still a heavy favourite.

  11. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Notts 351-4 v Worcs

Notts go past 350 to earn a fourth batting bonus point at Trent Bridge.

Ben Duckett and Steven Mullaney have added 95 at more than six an over.

  12. Postpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Derbys 239-7 v Durham

Derbyshire have just confirmed that wicketkeeper Harvey Hosein is out for the rest of the game.

He was struck on the helmet earlier by a Brydon Carse bouncer and retired hurt.

Thankfully he did manage to walk from the field.

  13. Postpublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Surrey 190 & 26-0 v Middlesex 160

Thankfully the break was only a short one at The Oval. Youngster Blake Cullen starts a new over and it's an expensive one as Mark Stoneman picks up three boundaries, the last two a clip off the legs and a pull shot.

  14. Postpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Hants v Leics 13-0 (target 150)

Hassan Azad has one off 24 balls.

Not sure this chase is happening.

  15. 150 runs

for Duckettpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Notts 333-4 v Worcs

The runs keep on piling up at Trent Bridge.

Ben Duckett goes to his 150 off just 176 deliveries.

Brilliant innings from the former England batsman. It might not be former if he carries on this form.

  16. Postpublished at 17:15 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Gloucestershire v Somerset 227-7

Good stuff from the Gloucestershire seamers since the new ball was taken. Daniel Worrall delivers a maiden to Lewis Gregory and now has 3-35 from 18 overs. There are 27 overs remaining, Gregory has 33, and Tom Abell is 89 not out.

Julian Prior: Brave from Vincey! Let’s hope it doesn’t backfire …

Not looking likely at the moment - Leicestershire are 4-0 off four overs.

  18. Postpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Surrey 190 & 12-0 v Middlesex 160

We have action at The Oval following the rain which briefly delayed the final session. Blake Cullen has three balls left to complete an over and Mark Stoneman finds the fine leg boundary from the first of them.

And just like that, one ball into the next over from Tim Murtagh, more rain arrives and they are off again.

  19. 50 runs

for Mullaneypublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Notts 314-4 v Worcs

Notts captain Steven Mullaney has come in and struck a 40-ball half-century.

Six fours and two sixes for the all-rounder.

Ben Duckett is still going along merrily. He's on 136.

  20. Postpublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

    Hants v Leics 2-0 (target 150)

Three overs gone, Leicestershire have only scored two.

Maybe this chase of 150 in 22 overs isn't going to be the thriller we'd hoped for.
