And that concludes our coverage of today's County Championship action.

Thanks for joining us. We'll see you again tomorrow.

  2. Close of play at Derbypublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Derbyshire 121 v Warwickshire 274 & 132-7

Derbyshire have had a better final session of the day, taking seven wickets after Warwickshire's surprise decision not to enforce the follow-on.

But they still trail by 285 runs. Even though they have two days left after this, it would be a very tall order.

And Derbyshire must be rueing some of the shots in their earlier collapse from 54-1 to 121 all out.

Five caught behind by Bears keeper Michael Burgess. Two caught at slip by Tim Bresnan. That probably tells the story of how it all went wrong.

  3. Bears lose seventh wicket at Derbypublished at 18:58 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Derbyshire 121 v Warwickshire 274 & 128-7

Michael Cohen has his third wicket as he picks up Michael Burgess for 28, caught by Ben Aitchison.

Craig Miles comes out for his second bat of the day. He was the first man out this morning when the Warwickshire first innings was wrapped up.

The Bears lead by 281, with three wickets in hand. It looks a big total to chase but there are still two days left in this contest.

One more over left in the day after this one. It's been a long eight hours!

  4. Bresnan out at Derbypublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Derbyshire 121 v Warwickshire 274 & 126-6

Tim Bresnan becomes the 17th wicket to fall in the day at Derby - a second scalp of the innings for Sam Conners

A good effort from Derbyshire, who have now taken six Warwickshire second-innings wickets. But the Bears' lead is still a big one. 279 and counting.

  5. Close of play at New Roadpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Worcestershire 131 & 99-3 v Durham 381

Jake Libby, the country's second top run scorer, is still there on 51.

And nightwatchman Josh Tongue is already onto 10.

But Worcestershire still trail Durham by 151 runs at the close, with seven wickets left.

The Pears are still very much up against it - and in danger of an innings defeat.

  6. Close of play at Sophia Gardenspublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Glamorgan 150 & 137-3 v Lancashire 173 & 164

Glamorgan need just 51 more runs to win.

    Lancashire need seven wickets.

With Marnus Labuschagne still there, on 32, victory tomorrow for Glamorgan should be a formality.

But this is Glamorgan. And it is Lancashire.

If they got Labuschagne early, who knows?

But already the Red Rose will be cursing some of the very poor cricket which triggered their post-lunch collapse and looks to have caused the Group Three leaders' likely first defeat of 2021.

  7. Close of play at Tauntonpublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Somerset 360 v Hampshire 285-7

Led by Lewis McManus, this has been a really good comeback from Hampshire.

From 148-6 and staring at a significant first-innings deficit, McManus has helped steer them to 285-7 at stumps, trailing by 75.

McManus himself will resume day three on 91, just nine short of a century.

  8. Three overs left in Cardiffpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

Glamorgan 129-3 (Target: 188 to beat Lancashire)

Lancashire legspinner Matt Parkinson comes back on at the Cathedral Road End with three overs left.

He has only bowled four overs so far, but he has taken one of the three Glamorgan wickets.

He has 12 balls to do some damage tonight, although the hosts again look favourites.

  9. Hain departs at Derbypublished at 18:22 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Derbyshire 121 v Warwickshire 274 & 108-5

Derbyshire have a fifth wicket - and a second for Michael Cohen - as Sam Hain goes LBW for a restrained 46, from 90 balls.

Tim Bresnan comes out to join Michael Burgess (19) with the Bears lead already up to 262.

  10. Another one gone at Worcesterpublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Worcestershire 131 & 86-3 v Durham 381

Durham fast bowler Chris Rushworth finally has his first wicket of the game as struggling Worcestershire batsman Gareth Roderick departs for an 11-ball duck.

Nightwatchman Josh Tongue comes in to join Jake Libby who is on 48.

The Pears are close to the end of day two still needing a further 163 to make Durham bat again.

  11. Close of play at Headingleypublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Yorkshire 272-2 v Sussex

And that's also the close. A superb day for Yorkshire, who trail by just 41 with eight wickets in hand.

  12. 100 runs

100 for Dawid Malanpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Yorkshire 272-2 v Sussex 313

    A 27th first-class century for Dawid Malan.

The England white-ball batsman reaches the milestone off 153 balls, including 11 fours and one six, and his partnership with Gary Ballance has put Yorkshire in complete control.

  13. Close of play at Leicesterpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Leicestershire 451 v Gloucestershire 158 & 5-1 (f/o)

A huge blow right at the end of a chastening day for Gloucestershire.

Callum Parkinson has dismissed Chris Dent with the penultimate ball of the day to leave the visitors 5-1 at stumps, a whopping 288 runs behind.

  14. Postpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Sussex 313 v Yorkshire 260-2

Dawid Malan is edging ever closer to a century, now unbeaten on 96. Partner Gary Ballance is with him on 69 not out and Yorkshire's deficit has been slashed to 53 runs.

  15. Glamorgan lose third wicket in Cardiffpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Glamorgan 150 & 102-3, Lancashire 173 & 164

Billy Root is now gone too for worried Glamorgan.

Saqib Mahmood gets his first wicket. LBW. And he then almost immediately gets a second as Kiran Carlson so nearly departs first ball.

A shot ball. A leading edge which balloons up. But, painfully for Lancashire, it drops just short of Mahmood's valiant attempt to dive and claim a spectacular return catch.

Some concern for the home side, having looked so good at 72-0, chasing 188 to win. But, with nine overs left in the day, they still have Marnus Labuschagne looking good.

    Tricky.

  19. Gloucestershire all out for 158published at 17:52 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Leicestershire 451 v Gloucestershire 158

This has been quite some effort from the Leicestershire bowlers.

Daniel Worrall is the last man out and Gloucestershire have collapsed from 95-2 to 158 all out. Callum Parkinson ends with figures of 5-45.

There should be half a dozen or so overs left this evening, so we'll see what happens next regarding follow-ons and what not...
